i am tempted to try and sex them like this but last year we had some seedlings that didn't show their balls until halfway thru july, and by then we had wasted a big pot and half a season on the fuckers.

sup Shcrews. I have a bunch of reg seeds this year too and I cloned and labeled all of them 3 weeks ago. I am going to switch em over to 12/12 indoors in few days just to see sex and resin content. It always pisses me off to get few months into the season to find out its a shitty pheno or a fuckin male. Its worth it to me to clone em all and test. I might not even let the clones go 12/12 all 8 weeks but its mainlyto show sex and resin.

yes, we want to do that but this 24 plant ordinance means we would have had to flower seed cuttings at another property. we might do it anyway unless theres a easier way to sex them early?
what do you mean flip them? do you put them on 12/12 until they show their sex and then back on a veg lighting schedule? If so then doesn't that stunt their growth a bit when they revert back to veg from flower? is that how you make sure that no males end up in your big pots or whatever? you seem to be pretty on it BB so let me know what ya thinnk
...And apparently the machine that SC Labs was using to sex plants is busted and they said it's not worth it to fix because of a few reasons.... and i don't think any other labs are doing it right now either for the same reasons, maybe Drue Bleam can explain because he is friends with a guy who works at SC Labs.
Sucks because we aren't sure how to put seed plants in the ground in may or june without some of them turning out to be males in july, and even if we replace the males with big healthy females in july theres no way to make up for 2 months veg time in a couple yards of soil.

To me it looks like your gg4 is experiencing extreme magnesium deficit.
thats weird my seedlings always show sex even under veg lighting....once they hit about 3 feet and have a dozen nodes its super easy to tell what they are.
but yeah you could always flip the lights to 12/12 for 2-3 days, then revert back to veg and within a week you should definately see pistils or balls.

Does your county specify 25 total and say no indoor? I forgot what county you are in,, I know some counties have some odd regulations. Either way I would take those cuts now and get em rooted and 12/12 the cuts elsewhere if need be. Most males show sex by day 45 and after even in veg. I have some reg seed space queens with balls everywhere right now in veg. good luck bro
24 total technically, indoor or outs. brand new ordinance so we are testing the waters.
thanks for the tip, i think we will take those cuts tomorrow and make sure they are all labelled properly, that'll be the real bitch.
we will keep checkin them for signs of sex too, they are damn near 2 months old now

I second this. I tried 12/12 for a few days with disastrous results. Now when growing reg seeds I just wait until the first clonable branch is big enough to flower.
I would say like 90% chance that is magnesium def. Hit em with 1tsp epsom salts per gallon of water for a couple weeks, should take care of itself.

The structure they were held in is fairly subject to outside conditions(as are most of the structures here) and we had some drastic switches between low and high in the weather. Maybe that had something to do with it? Unless this plant requires more magnesium than most, I'd assume we'd be experiencing it in other plants if we had magnesium issues? I don't know...
Also you should check the GG$ thread as a lot of people that had the cuts from the HT Cup are having the same issue brotha. Looks like the sun might be starting to fix your problems. A few people have brought back their week or sick mothers from throwing them outdoor and letting the sun do her magic 
I think you've nailed it. I had tons of GG4's sitting around in cheap black grow bags. The ones with leaves just like your's may have gotten too hot in a greenhouse one afternoon. Anyway..thats all way lower old growth now. They've all been plugged into 100's and show perfect health.
