This is gonna be a good one I'm jumpin in. Whats your plant count gonna be, predicted yield? Is this a setup you've been running for awhile?

I just did the whole set up last month, still working on it. Electrical, ac, everything is new. I've done rdwc before but not this many plants and rez. I don't know exact plant count but its about 90 I think. Need to start counting!!! Predicted yield, I hope at least 1.5 per light.

I dont get how other people get away with using buckets that are not light proof. I had nothing but problems.

LUCKY!

Most likely your problems came from something else but you associated it with the buckets instead. I could be wrong but I've never had problems due to those buckets personally. The majority of my problems were due to other variables like air pumps breaking, poor temps or pH problems that weren't fixed in a timely manner. But most of those problems are much harder to affect my plants now because of my Veg-A process putting the main focus into growing a great root structure before placing them into RDWC.

Your probably right man butttttt.....I would always get a algae ring around the water line from light penetration.

I think I had OCD about it because I couldnt function in society until I fixed it.

I am building 5 gal bubble buckets for my veg area to stage in. I whole hatedly agree that roots are where it's at.
