ICMag Mobile Version Updated!

We have updated our version of icmag for mobile phones and tablets. If you'd like to check it out, just click here, or use the pull down at the right side of the top menu, or in the footer of each page.

This version has reformatted pages for easier reading on handheld devices. You don't need to register to use the mobile version.

Let us know if you have any issues with the mobile version.

P.S. You can use the mobile version on your desktop too! You'll find it faster and cleaner looking. And you can reduce the size of the browser window so you can have other programs visible at the same time. It works fine using Firefox on the desktop/laptop, but not on mobiles. Firefox on mobiles is a dog!

Hey Skip! The new Opera Mini is very nice. Its fast. Virtually no wait time to load the next link. Easy to navigate. Very user friendly. Much better when imputing information. When I used the standard Iphone browser it was constantly lagging, freezing, a real pain. This Opera Mini will allow me to follow ICMAG when I am away from my computer, and will make it much easier to upload iphone pictures of my grow instead of having to constantly upload to the computer. Very Nice. Thanks again Skip!

Yes, Opera Mini is far better than any standard browser I've seen on tablets or phones.

It's so lightweight and fast.

You might need to remove EXIF data from your images first (unless icmag resizes them for you).
Or set the camera phone to not record EXIF and GPS data if you haven't already.

I found it impossible to filter posts to view only the authors posts without replies from other people with the mobile version. Otherwise I love it, looks and works great!

Thanks for your feedback. First make sure you're signed in, since you can't do a search otherwise.

I see getting it to go may be a bit tricky in Opera Mini, but if you zoom in on the popup menu, it should work. You can try the "open new tab" option by continuing to press down on the option.

Didn't help, I'm logged in but when i tap the user's name it has only 3 options. View public profile, find all posts by xxxx and add xxxx to your contacts. There's no "filter posts by xxxx"

I think that's because you can't filter other member's posts until you reach member status (only reason I can think of).

So once you hit 50 posts you'll be able to do that (and a lot more).

If you can't wait, you can get a subscription to the site and be able to do everything now.

Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, when I click/tap your name in this thread there's "filter posts by skip" on full site mode but mobile version is missing that option(and a bunch of others that I don't use).

Hi, Skip! ICMag has quickly become my go-to site for cannabis-related material. I access it from my computer and my iPad. What would really be great is to enable Tapatalk plugin for this site. Tapatalk is a very nice mobile app for managing and participating in forums.

Sorry but Tapatalk is a third party app that we have no control over.

I decided it's a possible security risk for our members.

Thank you for putting the time for the upgrade. I think the most difficult part about the mobile site is the small blue icon the thread list that takes you to the last (latest) post in the thread. It's the tiny tiny blue ">" icon. If you could please replace this tiny blue icon with the words "last post" it would be a lot easier to touch on a mobile device. Thanks again.
