Hey there! I have been following your residual butane tests for a while now...just desided to make an account. I have been extracting for 4 years, and am at the point where the only thing I can really do to up my game is keep leaning everyday, upgrade my equptment, and find out everythng I can about making the product as medicinal as possible. It would be awsome to have a conversation with the people on this site about different gas options and screen options. i currently use a 20 micron lab paper filter and power gas(newport when I can afford to drive to l.a). Cant seem to locate clean tanked gas.. this is of course my all fake and none of this is true ;)

what kind solvent are you using? butane?
you can find ultra refined butane on amazon if you can't find it locally.

it may be too pricey but for a different gas look at super critical co2 extraction equipment. it may be something to work toward.

Try vacuum distillation to remove the heavier hydrocarbons.

I've heard good things about the JYN CO2 system for like $5,500. This system goes up to 3800 psi. Next closest thing is from Apeks and too expensive for the home enthusiast. The smallest system from Apeks is a 1500 psi 1 liter system for $29,500 if I'm remembering correctly. I talked to them and they do occasionally offer used systems for as low as $20,000. Next best would be an Eden 5 liter system for $69,500...probably too big for the home extractor and waaaaay too expensive lol. Eden says the sweet spot for CO2 extraction of cannabis is 1800 psi.

those things are made for extractors.. people to extract for dispensaries or some big cash croppers. or outdoor runs.. lol. ill never pay 70 Gs to make Co2 oil.. id rather find out how to make Sam Skunkman 99% pure trichome head dry sift.. much tastier.
