I have heard big ones called all sort of things , maybe that`s where the phrase Mooning comes from .

Harry have you tried to stratify them seeds ? I had Pyracantha seeds outside in pots for 3yrs just left them & forgot about them then last year had plants show .

Hey Mj Badger.

May be I didn´let them long enough; I had the seeds like 2/3 months in soil.

I´ve got outside a small pot full of dryed Blueberries so I will leave it there and may be one day I´ve got a surprise.

Yesterday I was gifted a Melissa plant, (melissa oficinalis/citronella), beautifull lemon scent.

Nice greenhouse by the way, we have quite a British weather at the moment around here; I have put indoors some plants I was germinating, as it is cloudy, foggy, rainy.

Same name but looks like a different beech leaf wise , it also says evergreen & mines deciduous , I know there is no mistake with the name so I`m going to look a bit further into this .
Great seed company for any flower/shrub/tree/veg seed including old varieties is Chiltern seed , I use them a lot for my bonsai seed & the gf is always buying strange veg seed from them , ship worldwide . www.chilternseeds.co.uk

Seriously if your doing seeds that need stratifying place them in a small bag/container place in freezer for a month or so then the fridge for a couple of week then back to freezer/fridge/freezer fridge . Do this over the course of a winter & usually you have results . It`s a lot quicker that placing pots outdoor .
I have done both & grown Hawthorn Damson Pyracantha Bullace , little tip place a shallow layer of grit on top as bloody mice seem to go for any large seed .

Mildest winter on record uk & wettest & as a kid I grew up with all the gardeners telling you that we need a cold winter for good fruit the following year . That has to be bollocks , over here everything has really flowered well more blossom than I have ever seen before .
The whole countryside is a mass of white trees everywhere from the Hawthorn or May tree as some call it , Sloes were exceptional as well as cherry Plum Apple so it should be a good harvest this year unless of course we have some really bad frosts to shag it all away .

I´ll let them stay on the pot.

The saying around here is " año de nieves, año de bienes".

You can translate to somenthing like year with snow, good year.

Not that diferent.:tiphat:

I have to constantly eat fresh organic eggs, which sucks, but at least I get good chicken manure.
