hey might not show signs of overwatering. If you water, and they are still wet 24 hours later, they are not drawing in water fast enough for it to be optimum. Some times I get the odd plant that doesnt dry out as much. They generally grow slower and yield alot less. Your plants look heathy from the pics. Just remember to get the best out the coco you need to have frequent wet to dry periods. Rather than staying wet.. If that makes sense.

When ypu say "pure" coco
Do you mean you use no perilite ?
If so mixing in 1/3 perilite to coco will help you dry out a lil faster so you can feed more often.
Also helps so your coco doesnt compact an develop dry spots..
I like to use one bag of canna coco to one bag of roots soiless it ends up being a great mix it drains an dries out really well.

I think it might be from a little overwatering.. i didnt do the typical morning watering and now the tops look noticeably dry.. not too much so, plants still feel heavy.. but i think im going to skip watering today and go to 1 watering a day starting tomorrow until they loook like they need 2 a day.

that particular strain is starfighter.. 2 strains in the coco tent, snowcap and starfighter.

thx for all help!

A couple things just aren't adding up for me. When you say 3 gallon pot, is it a true 3 gallons or is it a #3 pot? There is a difference, when I say I'm using 3 gallons of coco it's a #5 nursery pot which the stores sell as 5 gallon but it really only holds about 3.5 and I dont fill them up all the way cause I like to dump a gallon of feed and be on my way to the next girl.

When you say you've been feeding 4 cups, do you mean 4 eight ounce cups as in 32 ounces?

Reason I ask cause in my situation, there is no way I would get runoff giving my plants a quart of water, even double that I'm not getting any runoff. Just seems strange to me is all.

Anyway, I think you're on the right track, any more ?'s feel free to ask.

12 plants x 3 gal...36g is too much medium for 1k hps lighting. Not gonna get enough wet/dry cycles. The good news, you may experience a stickier harvest wen watering wet pots! Environmentally, wet feet made my dizzles pump more goo!

Still very well grown by you homie, peace!!

Ya these are marked 3gal on the inside.. Each gets about a quarter of a gallon of water a day to make a little runoff.. I'll dbl check when I get home

That's what everyone told me with soil but I always run 12 5gal smart pots and prune the hell out of them and I get 1.75-2+ per light..
Guess coco is diff huh.. Next run I'll be using 9 2gal..
I guess bc of the dense canopy ad everything I'll stick to 1 feeding a day to make sure they dry out a little.. Maybe further in flower they will need more waterings

Thx again for comments. Keep them coming

^ I don't think its a dud.

relentless, your better off treating it like soil in some aspects. you can tell by the pot weights though. same with most things it takes some trial and error.

IMO, if you got runoff with a quarter of a gallon using 3 gal pots, you're watering too much.

Did somebody here say they gave their 3gal pot a gal of water per feeding?

I use 2 gallon and water 1 litre each time. Thats about qtr of a gallon. I dont even bother trying to get run off. I prefer the coco wet throughout at watering but still retaining Lots of oxygen in the medium. I water with none to very little run off but water once a week with fresh ph water.

You can grow trees easily in a 2 gallon pot.
Smaller pots=more waterings=tons of O2 in the root zone!
You'd be surprised what you could pull off in a big gulp.
IMO your containers are too big.
Don't fret, coco is like riding a bike.
Might take a minute , but once you get going, you won't stop smiling.
Look great irregardless.

I just spent some time with the coco tent and noticed that the yellowing is only on one strain, starfighter.. so i started picking the pots up and noticed the ones yellowing are much heavier then the others, esp the other strain snowcap.. so ive cut the timer off and am hand watering the ones that need it.. i noticed there were a few snowcaps that were dying for their second watering today(fed once at 730) so thats a good sign.. think im onto the right track now..

Thanks guys!

Hey brotha I'm doing allmost the exact same thing 3 gal under 1ks .... Here's what I learned... If handwatering like me only water once a day when lights go on.... I'm not sure exactly how much cuz I use a wand to hit everything but I'm guessing I am giving them bout 1/4-1/2 a gal depending on how dry they are.... U can't let them stay soaked but don't want them dry like soil either..... Just hitter once when the lights cut on and leavem ... U will be surprised...l was overwatering thinking u can't over water but ya can... Shit I need to get drip system goin but don't have the time to experiment this run or the space to put the rez... Ur a sick grower brotha u will figure it out in no time... I was dwc for 10+yrs and just like I switched to coco and over thaught everything...
