Harlequin and her crosses

Hey when I was at the Denver Cup I was able to get a pack of Fem. Harlequinband Seeds from The Chronic Inc (ColoradoChronicConnection.com)

They didn't have to much info on the strain, like CBD or THC content but I figured since it had harlequin in it i'd give it a try. I wish they had Charlottes Web available lol but I haven't been able to find it.

The Harlequinband is Harlequin x Headband (OGSD)

Haven't seen freedom bay seen harlequin jo by ggg (harlequin x Joseph OG)

On the site says

"
The Harlequin cut has been circulating the medical cannabis scene for quite a while now. One of the first strains that produced high concentrations of CBD aka Cannabidiol, a cannabinoid produced in cannabis that has been found to treat numerous medicinal conditions ranging from inflammation to nausea to inhibition of cancer cell growth. The Harlequin will put your body in a perfectly medicated state while keeping the mind free of the usual psychoactive effects of cannabis.

The Harlequin produces sweet buds with high resin production and a thick hash flavor. It is definitely a pleasure to smoke and a non-psychoactive effect that can still be felt as the aches and pains melt away.

We wanted to create a hybrid that could offer the medicinal grower the opportunity to experiment and select from interesting phenotypes that may carry the high CBD trait in it. We hope to reintroduce CBD genetics back into the cannabis gene pool through our efforts. While each phenotype will contain genes from the Harlequin, expression of the high CBD trait is not guaranteed.

The Harlequin Jo will produce rock hard buds covered in golden powder. The smells of spices and sweet currant may be experienced in the Harlequin Jo.

Genetic Facts

Sativa/Indica Hybrid
8 - 9 Weeks
Medium to High Yields.
Strong medicinal qualities."

I couldn't find more information on the Harlequin line but from what I understand the cbd is around 8-10 in most cases, I'm probably wrong but based off what I could find, it seems to average around there.

This is my 1st time running harlequin (Harlequinband to be exact, harlequin x headband) the headband is supposed to help with yield but we shall see.

If the medicine works great for my patients then Fuck the yield right? :)

Happy growing fellow growers

In my experience Harlequin tests between 5-8% in both THC & CBD, keeping to almost an exact one-to-one ratio most of the time.

Just got dropped off to me a few moms of AC/DC and a few of harlequin! Im helping RD from so cal seed co. With his new line of high cbd seeds. He already crossed his chemd male to the cannatonic to make up his dawgtonic line. So we are testing and looking for males in the dawgtonic line to cross to these super moms. Mostly the AC/DC mom, which has a 20% cbd to 1% thc ratio. Very cool stuff coming. Digdug!!

I just sprouted AC/DC x Good Medicine, free of charge from Bodhi seeds (high cbd x high cbd).

I'm gonna get my males tested and breed with the one with the highest cbd content.

I did a ACDC BX1's that I'm really excited to be trying out next month. I'm hoping the cross retains some of Toci's vigor because that the one thing stopping me from mono-cropping ACDC in my room

Ill have to ask RD but I think RD told me that both these cuts are from bodhis garden. Both the AC/DC and the harlequin. I know the big sur holyweed cut is from bodhi and the nl5. RD and bodhi trade a lot from what I understand. Ive started the dawgtonic seeds in search for males, and they are looking very healthy. Thanks Digdug!!

That might be where RD sourced them but I'm almost positive that neither of those cuts originated with Bodhi. He does have Harlequin backcrossed (and it's suppose to be excellent) and most likely ACDC by now but the original cuts came from elsewhere. The unofficial story I heard on ACDC is that it originated overseas.

Harlequin has been around for a while. I've had a cut of it on and off for almost 4 years and it was going around for some time before I 1st got it. Now it very well could be Bodhi's originally and if so then it's a shame that's not part of the cut's lore. But that's the 1st mention I've ever seen of it.

Bodhi mentions who the guy that brought Harlequin to the scene is in his harlequin bx description, Fwiw

"harlequin is a famous californian cbd rich medical clone, its a
sativa dominant cross of columbian gold, thai, and a nepali indica
brought to the community by Wade Laughter. she's easy to grow,
smells of exotic flowers, and provides a healthy harvest of cbd
rich meds"

Harlequin was developed in California by Wade Laughter:

“Harlequin is one phenotype of a plant bred to produce hashish,” explains Wade Laughter. “The genes are 75% sativa and 25 % indica. The Sativas include an early-1970s Columbian Gold, a Thai from the mountains near Laos, and a Swiss native land race that was bred for consumption of cattle. The Indica is from Nepal’s Mustang state. These are all high-elevation plants.

In 2011 Steep Hill determined that Harlequin was high-CBD:

In the early part of 2011, Wilson Linker, a sales executive at Steep Hill Lab, tested leaves taken from a Harlequin plant about five weeks after it was started indoors from a clone. “Still completely in veg,” he says of the plant. Linker took leaves from different various parts of the plant, ground them up, and tested them by GC/MS. To his surprise, the leaf tested at approximately 4% CBD and 2% THC.

From Project CBD

AC/DC is a very high ratio pheno of Resin Seeds' (Spain) Cannatonic. I'm not sure, but I think the strain "Charlotte's Web" in Colorado (noted for its use in pediatric epilepsy) is the AC/DC cut renamed.

Here is a pretty good article on AC/DC and other high ratio plants from cal, like the ones from SoHum.
