Howdy friends:wave:

Feels amazing to be starting my first new diary in over two years. Its been a long hiatus from growing, but its finally time to get back into the real swing of things. During my break from gardening I moved from Michigan out to the west coast and started a really amazing job working with wholesale and retail nurseries. I work on a daily basis with growers who have hundreds of acres of greenhouse and field stock growing at any given time. Its expanded my horizons and has introduced me to some really amazing growers, both of nursery stock and herb LOL.

If you have ever seen my grows in the past you know what I used to run. For those of you who havent here is what I used to use.

Medium- Promix BX with a little added perlite

Nutrients- GH Flora Nova Grow/Bloom, Dynagro Silica, Kool bloom powder, Happy frog tomato/veg dry mix, diamond nectar, root stimulator.

The look and smell of what I was producing was A++++, but the flavor was well.... Really lacking and a bit harsh even when perfectly flushed and cured.

This has lead me all the way back to how I first started growing, which was 100% organic soil filled with tons of micorhyzee and worm castings and feeding it with guano's and compost teas. It may be a little bit slower (mostly because I dont have my regimen back down pat yet) but it pays off in the end with a superior product.

My current soil mix is super basic. Veg soil consists of 4 parts FFOF 3 parts worm castings and one part added perlite. I inoculate my soil and roots directly with Great White Myco's and have had great results reducing and in most cases eliminating transplant shock.

Flowers soil is the same as veg with the addition of one part 0-5-0 bat guano.

I'm feeding this soil with a mix of compost tea's with added mineral supplements like Excelerite. Also using an organic liquid deep sea mineral concentrate called Foli-Organic. Other than that I'm top dressing with fox farm fruit and flower dry fert mix. Plants are loving life and getting bigger by the day.

Currently I have 1k running 18/6 with 13 ladies under it. In a week, they will be spread under 2k and put into flower. 11 of the 13 are a mix of two different cuts of sour diesel. One is the West coast special and the other is ECSD. They vary just a bit in size and shape, but flavor stays true between both of them. I also have one each of Headband and Flo.

The Sour's and the flo are all in 5 gallon nursery containers. The Headband just got potted up into a 7 gallon pot today. Took clones earlier today and will be staking all the girls this afternoon. I have been pinching them just about every other day to help my lower branches catch up with the tops. I would like to have a nice scrog canopy this first round if possible even though my plant count is so low.

Im getting some pics uploaded now and will get them on here later today. Excited to be back with the homies here on IC. Lets rage!

All trimmed and tied. Took a bunch of cuts off of these ladies today before I staked and tied them. Temps and humidity are down to a perfect level 70deg and 30% humidity. I will have no problem holding this even if I upgrade up to 6k with how the room is setup. I will have to take more shots of the ventilation setup because it is pretty slick. Room is built to flower 6k.

There are two 8" dedicated intakes and one 8" outtake for lights. 10" outtake for filtered exhaust. I will be running a Can125 filter with a 10" Can Max fan.

Anyway here is what it looks like right now. I need another 8">6" reducer and a few more duct clamps and I will have the ventilation setup..

Looking real healthy bro, those bitches are gunma get their stretch on!

...ya man, I think last we spoke I was looking for a house. Moved into this spot like 3 years back, been running a 10k perpetual, single flower room, vertical bare bulbs. And lots of LED supplemental. Selling this place in the next year or so & getting a bigger farm w/ a big ass basement, barn, and lots of land.

Kaossilator- good to hear from you brother!! Great to hear you got the MK back. One day I'm going to give her a run again with a proper organic soil mix. Hope spring is going well back in the mitten, we just started getting real warm again this week. Gonna pop a few of those beans you hooked it up with. Thanks for stoppin by homie!!!

CDM- Thanks for the kind welcome back homie, nothing better than reading friends grow diaries and catching up on all the progress yall have made while I slacked off LOL. Country living with a big basement is the way to go. I gotta say I love living in the high desert for indoor growing. Low humidity and cold night time temps year round. Thanks for checking out my new spot, def gonna be a lot going on here this season!!!!

I'm going to do a small update tonight. Moving to 2k onfriday, then the real fun begins!!!

Flower Day 0- May 12, 2014

Whatup Homies,

Yesterday I got dirty in the room transplanting the ladies to their final home. Moved them from 3gal nursery pots to 7gal containers. Added bat guano and happy frog fruit and flower into soil mix before planting. I was previously considering leaving them in 3gal containers through flower, but once I pulled one to check the roots I realized that they were almost rootbound as it was. So transplanting up was the only real choice.

I also spent some time adjusting stakes and supercropping tops. As soon as I have my carbon filter and fan installed later this week I will top the whole garden with horticultural trellis and get busy training while all these girls go through their big stretch. Anyway, here is what the room is looking like as of last night.

Here is where the carbon filter and 10" exhaust fan are going to hang. Decided to go with a Can 125 Original and a 10" Canfan Max. So funny to me that the Carbon filter market is all shifting to less carbon in lighter filters, which means filters that wont last as long. I dont care about weight, the heavier the better in my opinion.

Super stoked to have finally flipped the switch on these broads. Its gonna be real stanky real soon. Stay tuned. Weekly updates to come during flower!

Fuck, you're gonna need a lot of carbon!!

Looking good man! Don't know when I'll ever run a sour but this thread will tempt me for sure. Can't wait to see how they work out for you. Hope alls well out there homie.

Hey bud, just wanna tell you about florakleen, something I just started using correctly and am getting the most amazing flavour and bud as a result. Your first post sounds exactly like what I was going through. I wonder what your flush p4ocess was in p4omix bx?

I used sensi ph perfect last run and florakleen for the last week in plain tap water. Must say its night and day to a 2 week plus flush with just water. I think its key to feed lightly that last week of feeding as well... just thought id share.... looks like you went organic anyway.
