Male influence on females

I have never been in Thailand but it looks like the rainy season lasts from may to november. The monsoon coming from the southwest brings humidity&rain.

I guess it makes sense that if the males are flowering and you have a nice rain/high humidity (like seen in Vietnam war films) the pollen of the males is not going to work.
The Land races there adapts to the situation and triggers some male flowers, in order to ensure the SURVIVAL.

We know that some african lines like Durban, are hermie prone too.But in Africa the humidity/rain can´t be the enviromental factor. I think the cause could be draught/very dry years may be?? I can´t think of another cause.

Not trying to stir the shit but again I think there is a big difference between male flowers produced by a female plant NATURALLY in response to a enviromental situation VS male flowers produced CHEMICALLY by the human race in response to a GREEDY MENTALITY.

My 2 cents:tiphat:

Thailand has many areas with different climates. it is mostly hot there, and there is a long rainy season--but in the north, where cannabis is cultivated--it is pretty dry most of the year. so probably dry enough for pollen to spread without being deactivated by water.

Ram Das was taught Ashtanga Yoga by Babaji, Baba Hari Dass, using only a chalkboard. He stopped talking in 1952.
My daughters first school was the Mount Madonna Hanuman Fellowship School where Baba Hari Dass gave Satsang that my daughter attended, he lived full time at the center. I took her to school every day and was there a lot. I am not a religious person but the people there were sincere and open and loving, and my daughter loved it.

cool. i am not religious either but practice Vipassana Meditation which is a buddhist meditation method--without the religious part.

ashtanga on a chalk board? did she draw up the primary series chart? seems ashtanga would be difficult to teach without physical demonstration to get the proper form. interesting.

Really interesting.....

I had once an experience with OVNIS; I did a cosmic travel with them, in fact we travelled to Tushita Moon home of Green Tara.

I´ve got my seedstock there, and I´m back with a misión....

Don´t say to anyone but I´m from another planet......:wtf:

a 'breeding for dummies' question: what traits do males contribute to the hybrid in a classic cross of sativa and indica? in particular how do males influence the qualities of high? i've heard it's better to make a sativa x indica cross instead of indica x sativa, because sativa effects and flavors remain almost intact in such a hybrid while aslo flowering time is shorter compared to an indica x sativa, but what is the truth?

I have never seen it that males are better or females are better or IndicaX Sativa vs Sativa X Indica. People that claim that very likely have no data to back it up.The traits like Cannabinoid content and terpene content is about hafway between the two parents, so much so I can spot progeny of a particular clone if I have a terpene analysis of it and compare it to terpene profiles of the progeny. I have done this double blind many times.
Seed shape and color are the only trait that seem just from the moms, you see that in an F1 but by the F2 seed shapes and colors are also half way between the two original F1 parents. Maybe there are other traits that are sex linked but I do not know them.
Of course if you want to know what a male might contibute to a cross the best thing is to transform the male to a female and smoke it, it will be very clear at that point. Smells high etc. Here is how: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=99597&highlight=transformed+males

The seed shell is part of the mother plant and not of the embryo and that's why (unless you're talking of one generation further down the line than I do :D ).
A pity that you don't know any sex linked traits ;( ...
