Here ya go....

The latest gift from the ocean....Unlike the minnows you all catch in fresh water.... sorry...had to take the shot.

This is a fourtyfive lb Ulua caught shorecasting a couple of nights back.

This is the first fish of 2014....looks to be a good year.

Nice fish...whats funny is most saltwater fisherman that have never hooked into a freshwater fish, when they finally do, they understand why we fish for these "minnows"

I grew up fishing both saltwater and freshwater and yet I still go to freshwater for the fight. If I'm fishing for food though, I go to saltwater, I don't like the blandness of freshwater fish.

Thanks for sharing oldhaole! Mahalo!

Lol. Once a freshwater fisherman catches a yellow in the salt, he will never look back again! Just kidding calcio! I mostly do salt but still do fresh once in a while..
Now that you mentioned it...
Would not mind catching some catfish for a fish fry and some large mouths for fun. I have heard that largemouth are good eating...

SD! Great calico fishing... too bad there's the closures at la Jolla kelpbeds.. yeah my eyes get watery and itchy when leaving the beach.. mostly because I don't want to leave! Lol.. jk. Irritation from the salty wind..
Can't wait to see the numbers increase on the mahalini.. they are a good indicator when the yellowtails are on their way over from mexico.

There we go! Calicos! The largemouth bass of saltwater! SD is a great fishing spot, salt and fresh. Wish I was there now. Itching to get a hook in the water. Can't wait for this cold weather spell to blow over.

Just got new (hopefully not leaky) waders and wading boots yesterday. Headed out to a brook nearby and with any luck a trout on a fly!

Calcio, actually calico bite should be starting up by now with the warming waters. Only a calico bass can pull hard enough to bust 20lb line!!

Hello all.

Well, was a great day at the pond...2 16"-18" trout in the bag and a whole day of doing nothing but fishing and buds.

Bite was super slow yesterday. Caught this one on a KVD caffeine shad in dark green with red flake. He ended up swallowing it so he technically cost a little more than 110 bucks. No biggie, taking the rod back today and getting exchanged, it was brand new, bought yesterday before my trip. Keep it danK IC fishermen!

I always catch and release, unless I am going to eat it. I find no pleasure in killing animals for no reason. Humans on the other hand...just kidding!

That is really good to hear that you release the poor fishes, I am not one to jude anyway I just think humans are still a bit behind (stuck in the past) we should be at a level of consciousness now where we understand nature and all forms of life. Killing anything is going against nature for us... If we had no other options then certain actions could be made to eat.

I am a vegan and fully aware of our true nature, meat is not for human consumption many people would argue with this But its ok... I understand.

When we are awakened we have clarity on life.

Blessings, peace :ying:
