Many dont wanna put in the work to be attentive to the needs of the plant... (and soil and arthropods in my case... )

they just expect money to grow on trees....

you get out what you put in.

Wouldnt home brewers be affected by these bills as well?

A CHILD'S HEALTH OR WELFARE IS THREATENED BY UNRESTRICTED ACCESS TO EITHER A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE OR ANY LEGAL SUBSTANCE CAPABLE OF CAUSING... A MENTAL OR PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENT;
Forget homebrewers what about anyone keeping off-the-shelf bottled alcohol or maybe even cigarettes in the house?

Most people don't care about quality anymore. They name and price shop. Most don't even know if the "name" they are buying is correct or even care. Sad but true.

Maybe, but think, Gypsy has been in business for decades, given away hundreds of thousands of seeds, i'm just not sure the avereage person is capable of growing truly beautiful smoke.

With all the resources, the availability of seeds (not so much clones in my opinion)....the "average person" DOES have the capability of growing great ganja!!

It does take effort, education of strains and watching for good looking phenos....not like the old days where we threw bag seed on the ground, kicked dirt over them and hoped for the best.

Yes4Prop215 fairly recently posted on IC Mag that 80% of poll participants were more interested in price instead of quality. This from information from a poll done in CO soon after the recreational door was opened. Get used to it.

I think we should repopulate land race genetics or close too across the country. Seems like driving down the road chucking seeds in any fertile spot would be a good idea? Does anyone know what landrace was indigenous to North America? I remember hearing some time back "government" removed them from our land and the strain was ruderallis...?

My hypothetical theory on the best way to do this is to get a helicopter, billions of seeds, fly over the forest while its raining and over grow the world.

I would have to guess that I'm one of those who don't know for sure what they have grown. Since I've not sampled a super large variety of product, other than several strains around Salida (dispensary stuff). It does at times make me wonder just how good mine is. lol

My weed doesn't have quite the strength of smell (after curing) of some I've smoked. But it hard for me to judge on a side by side basis, since I only require one hit, or maybe two if I want to get really baked.

That said I'm happy with what I've grown. I don't buy weed. Just can't stomach the prices, and I don't sell, so nobody to give me feedback. I have shared with a few friends, but I don't know if they are being nice because it's free, or if it's just that good. Do have run going now that is stinking to high heaven..... we'll see.

If it preserves well in the freezer.... I shouldn't Need to grow any more for a year or so?, since I don't smoke much. Mostly just make cookies, as my lungs don't like smoke in them anymore. Sad part is, I LIKE to grow.

Keep it growing, there are a bunch of people who don't/can't.

Anyone know what the status is on the caregiver/patient plant count restrictions? Shit fucks up my program and would require I only grow 4-5 strains at home. All my flowers would have to be in 10gal pots 2per light instead of my desired 3gal pots 6per light. Anything stretchy like Gsc, gg4 or my loved super lemon haze will have to be eliminated from my grow. I have found workarounds if these restrictions do pass. However, I can't effectively treat my patients with such a limited strain selection. Especially if I'm only selecting strains that have squat structure and a large yield to offset my lack of selection with heavy yeilding lower donations type of herb. In my case these restrictions will force me to accept lower donations for more grams. I'm really lost as to how that will accomplish anything in the legislators proposed agenda. Shit I'm thinking about going to 15-20gal pots. 1 per light and add some more lights!

Mr GoodBudz- I hear you. No way can I provide for my and my patients medical needs on 6 plants. That's crazy talk. Plus if one is pheno hunting/breeding that's impossible with those numbers.

I do have some room/space etc gor the stretchy ladies.. next season starting the long flowering time sativas and landraces/mother strains, fill in time with some af's/landrace ruderalis.

Seems like the mmig wants us caregivers out of the picture. Avinash.miles is s friend of mine and helps me iut with my garden on occasion as there's some things I physically need help with, and we're helping a lady to grow a bit of her own, but I provide her w meds free of charge, and she was let down by everyone in the industry here by empty promises. So that there makes me a bit pissed off by the mnc's mips etc, promising a lady meds and not delivering on something she needs.

If the big mmc's etc are doing this, while wanting quality caregivers out of the industry, then it's proif they are just being a nit too short sighted, especially when I get frequent requests for high cbd genetics from mmc's as well as mips and private patients desperate for high cbd meds or rso. If there wasn't a need for small caregivers that actually grow good meds and have a knack for growing canbabis, which is an artform..then I could see why most would think caregivers aren't needed, but we are so very needed. To regulate us out oan industry that was built on caregivers and still depends on caregivers for gebetics and comoetition is healthy and needed in a thriving evolving cannabis society.

I an officially no longer a head grower, the company that employed me has chosen to go the route of cheap commercial crap which will be grown like corn and trimmed by machines, and fired me, mostly based on the opinion of a former stripper who came in with money.

The last Smurph grown weed available through that dispensary is currently on the shelf, anything that follows is just a cheap imitation, just delivered them some extraordinary Dynamite and East Coast Sour Diesel, so this is heartbreaking.

Anyone who recognizes the strain Smurphberry Jam from experience knows where I worked. It existed in 1 dispensary, whose grow I was locked out of last week.

Well that just sucks. Hate see you lose the Smurfberry genetics. I was looking forward to growing out a few.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

I'm sorry to hear that smurph man! The game appears to be changing and the only people who stand to profit and the ones with the most SHIT to sell at the highest prices/taxes. While patients that need quality select genetics are bastardized and forced to use inferior, overly commercial product. My buddy was a grower for cannamart until be walked away today. He said growing for that place destroyed his passion and dwindled the love/respect he had for our sacred herb. Needless to say. He can't do that anymore.

Smurphberry Jam and Lavender Smurph are alive and well in my hands, the only genetics of mine I was unable to get out in time were my various seeds, and AK47 x Smurphberry Jam (still unnamed because management didn't like my name for it, "Drive-By Smurphing").

As others have said, it's not about special anymore, it's just about making money in any mediocre way we can.

That is a rather unfortunate occurrence for this dispensary... If the quick buck is what they're after... I am certain their business will suffer... I sincerely hope they remove the word "gourmet" from their title.... It seems gourmet is not their goal...

It's amazing to me I really had hoped Colorado would retain its integrity and support the boutique growers, as i call them. It's damn worse than California these days...my home state has let me down. ... sigh. Sorry about the change brother, embrace it and grow.

well.... I wouldnt go THAT far....

A bit of an exaggeration, true. I just get rubbed so wrong it makes me wish weed was still illegal sometimes. And this is coming from a native coloradan working in California for the season. The bad business all around from these people going for the quick buck leaves a horrible taste... etc.

Big ups and love to those who still have the integrity and love for this plant.
