Tent update - L to R, zamal, pck, pck in the back. Shorter kalichina x oe, zamal, destroyer in the middle. Taller kalichina x OE and nepjam up front.

Plants are looking better but still not all tip top. I am resigned to the fact that this isn't going to happen unless I micromanage each plant to its own needs which frankly I am not going to be able to muster the time and effort for this time around.

Everything in the tent now is confirmed female other than the fatty squat zamal which still is 50/50. PCKs have rebounded nicely. The Kalichina x OE up front continues to be the most vigorous plant followed by the destroyer. They have a little claw going right now because I messed with some higher ferts and they responded in kind.

I am collecting the pollen from the male destroyer and nepjam as we speak and it will be frozen away until the females get flipped to make some seeds.

If I have the time I am thinking of taking a few clones and flipping to 12/12 this weekend. I have so many seeds to try out I may or may not keep those clones but you never know.

Nice problem to have!! The first Zamal in the picture is my favorite looking. Managing all the different needs of the different strains sounds quite tedious, however.

Yea it has its ups and downs for sure, but opening that up and seeing the sheer variety of strains is a joy every time and will be doubly so when they are ready to smoke!

My next run I will probably do something similar but start training/managing the plant shapes much earlier on. This run I let them go as they naturally would to try to get a look at their structure and whatnot but it turns out I didn't even follow that course anyway so it was wasted time really.

Quick tent update shot.

I flipped to 12/12 recently and we are now on day 6 of flowering. The slower kalichina x OE ended up being a male, must have misread the preflower on that one but that is going to the chopping block.

I've collected the pollen from the nepjam and destroyer males and they've been tossed as well.

The kalichina x OE and nepjam females are showing flowers much faster than the rest but to be expected with the flowering times. The lanky sativas are starting to stretch fairly quickly here so now comes the heavy pinching and height management.

edit: turns out the squat zamaldelica also is a male, shame.

Females left in the tent: destroyer, both PCKS, other zamaldelica, kalichian x OE and nepjam.

Zamaldelica is stretching the most, shrugging off most of my supercropping attempts. Will weave the branches to shorten height if it continues at this rate.

Both PCKs look to have a bit of color early so no green phenos here.

Nepjam is the earliest and fattest still followed by the KCxOE which looks to be the yielder of the bunch right now.

It is hard for me to tell where the Destroyer will end up at this point.

Thx for keeping on CMobile.

Flower day ~25.

Well just when I thought I had a relatively decent nute spread figured out for the ladies they started yellowing on me pretty heavily as flowering has progressed. I didn't respond much to the extra needs during this period to keep the nutes on the lower side and all but destroyer seem like they want more feed.

I upped the nutes a bit today so we will see if they respond. Also keeping diligent notes on how each are responding here. If nothing else this grow will be educational for further runs when I run my favorites of the bunch again. Gotta show the failures as well as the successes lol.

So far the NepJam and the PCKs are the furthest along as expected, with the KCxOE right behind. Nepjam is exhibiting a "warm", sweet smell, nothing fruity or citrus though. PCK2 is now starting to smell like musky blackberries. The rest are not strong enough yet for my nose to pick up right now. It looks like the bulk of the stretch is over now as well.

This is a great thread! This will be of much help for my first grow that I'm planning.

I also want to go with 4 55w PL-L's but in a slightly larger stealth cab. You'r grows has been truly inspirational, thanks a lot for sharing.

Thanks for the visit hestah, I hope my trials and tribulations are of use to you :D. Love these PLLs for small spaces as long as the ventilation is adequate - they can be a handful in the summer months if I don't take precaution as you can see by the 90F temps I was reaching in the past C99 grow.

Hey tleaf thanks for the visit! Yea the zamal serrations are especially pronounced and sinister looking for sure. I still do wonder about it being a response to inadequate fertilization but looking back it displayed that leaf charactersitic from seedling stage on up and it is noted in more experienced grower's plants in the ace seeds zamaldelica thread so I'm just going to chalk it as genetic for now.

All of these plants are flowering under 12/12 with strong response to the photoperiod. I'm leaving for a week long fishing trip here which will be my first chunk of time away from the ladies so I am looking forward to the flowering progress when I get back. The speed at which the nepjam is swelling is inspiring.

Very nice in that tent of yours 2000pm! love the variety's and i sure must test that PCK! Love the structure and leafs.
Hope it will bring much goodies for ya!!

Thanks algreen! The PCKs are nice, very resinous and starting to smell really good. One most like an earthy blackberry and the other a more citrus/brighter "fruit" I can't pinpoint as of yet. Less earth more fruit on that one.

Took some quick snaps today, fed first so didn't really pull them all out. We are at day 42 flowering. Plants looks like they have stopped getting worse at least, but could have been a lot better. Still producing decent buds but surely they are taking a hit in quantity and quality. No matter, they will tell the approximate tale of the strain and I'll do better the next time I run them. I've been less than strict on feeding this run and will shape that up next time, and the vacations away haven't been helping. May need to figure out some auto watering soon.

The pollen I had collected from the PCK and Nepjam male earlier on were applied to most plants in the tent with the exception of the KCxOE. I also dusted a bit of C99 pollen from the last run but it is very old so I am not expecting much there. The oddball zamaldelica male I had actually been continuing to flower in another box but it ended up throwing mostly sterile balls with only a few actually releasing pollen and was dumped. Shame, it was a cool male plant with a great lemon smell and growth structure.

Assuming the Nepjam will run around 60 days give or take so they will start a flushing in about a week. From the way she swelled up it looks like it could yield very nicely if dialed in better. She is starting to really up the stank, smelling somewhat of warm canned peach syrup right now. Nothing sharp or citrus here.

Be back around nepjam chop time with updates.

Damn I was really looking forward to that oddball for some reason lol.
Great grows! Just finished catching up and I love these micro grows.. can't wait to join the club.
I'll keep watching how these girls turn out

Yea so was I! It was such a weird plant and when it started flowering it was one of the stankiest males I've had yet so I was looking forward to it spreading its goods. I guess with the oddball growth I shouldn't be too surprised about the oddball pollen (or lack thereof) either but a disappointment nonetheless. Somebody in the zamaldelica thread in the Ace forum mentioned a squat oddball male as well but never followed up so I wonder how common this is. edit: (found the post talking about the male, pretty much describes it to a T)

The pollinated Nepjam females are already swelling up with seed but the rest are not moving quite as fast right now.

Both purpled up easily with no low temps. The rounder-leaf, less frosty pheno has a more sharp astringent/fruity scent while the frostier, sharper leafed individual is more musky/hashy along with the fruit tones.

They recovered pretty nicely from the low feed. Not huge producers it looks like but they also go the least training/no topping. Going to flush them out all week and possibly chop this weekend.

So this plant is pretty embarrassing to post but no hiding here. Got hit the hardest with the low feed and dropped most of its fans. What remained had terrible tip death but most of the problems have been staunched finally. I am hoping the buds will continue to thicken up despite the lack of foliage at this point in the flowering process. Probably about halfway there unless its a super fast pheno.

No real strong smell to it, much like the KaliChina x Orient Express the male had a stronger smell to it during veg. Perhaps it will develop more as it matures.

Destroyer met similar problems as the zamaldelica but I was able to get it stopped sooner. As bad as it looks it is starting to turn it around with increased flower production, resin, and a great sweet lemon smell. Looking forward to this one quite a bit. Probably another 4-6 weeks or so I imagine.

It looks like it might be a decent producer if it continues to thicken at this rate.

KCxOE also recovered pretty well. I believe it would have been a real producer if it didn't hit the low fert wall there. The main cola is still pretty good sized although the side branches didn't attain the bulk I had wanted them to.

Hashy/earthy/musky smell right now, can't really pinpoint. Not much of that fruit/cheese scent that the male had in spades. Increased feed seems to have added another round of new flowers but trichs are mostly cloudy right now so it is getting flushed as well. Will check its status on the weekend and see where we are at.
