Gnomes New Bloom Room

Gnomes,

Thanks for all the time and ideas you drop on this thread. Just had to chime in regarding the tank less water heater, now that mine is up and running. Purchased a new L8 tank less water heater on eBay, best offer, for 73.00, no tax, shipping included. Set my water heater up to recirculate from a 55 gallon plastic drum out side the grow area, hooked up to an element controller. It didn't take me long to gladly realizes an L8 was complete over kill for my little 900sf space. After some tweaking, setting the tank less water heater to all the lowest settings, (gas, water & summer settings) starting ppms 300, I can fill my room to 1500 ppm in less than 1 minute, every 2 hours.

The small amount of heat is easily controlled and the hot water, 65 Celsius for 1 minute is barely noticeable in a 55 gallon drum.

You cant beat that my friend :tiphat:

Hey catalina3899

like the saying Go big or Go home!
and if your like me I went home quite bit........until now :bigeye:

yup tokersmoke, pics really aren't doing them justice.
they are overloaded with resin, I'll tried to get a few close ups with better quality

ceosam
along with lolli popping I did 2 major defo's in early bloom taking off 30-35lbs of leaf
letting a lot more lite and air into the inner parts of the plants.
they exploded with growth afterwards.
and I am constantly plucking leaves here and there whenever I'm working in there.

well granger.....?

I mailed your invite to the trimming party 2 weeks ago.... you didn't get it yet? :shucks:
heck... just come on by
the party will last another month by the looks of it :faint:

Dear Mr. the gnome,
You live the heavenly dream, and I do not deny the careful thought and planning nor the energy expended in execution.

The fact that you plan the Sour Bubble in soil is huge, and basically this system is what I desire to retire to in my dotage, complete with some lovely blonde to winningly judge my horticultural efforts.

The likelihood is I'll end up in Vegas motel with a herpes-ridden ex-dancer managing a microgrow with Chinese LEDs.

Awesome Grow!

Mr. the gnome,
I think you were smoking your own Bubble. Thankfully I managed to get one of the last packs of BOG's Sour Bubble on the bay just two weeks ago and he says he is about to reload after Denver or some such. Either way I have ten seeds and there has to be something good in there.

By the way you mentioned that you had done some earlier bedroom grows before your new luxurious grow palace, because you mentioned in this thread you were tired of walking around them.

Any thoughts on the capability of central air cooling a single 1000 watt grow tent in an empty bedroom would be greatly appreciated at this thread:

ah mucho thanx aimogo for the kind words from you you and kanye :D
yeah and your right the afficianado,
my goose is cooked with rendered grease of the bubble sour this morning:bigeye:

tbh I have no experience with tent grows at all
so my opinion would be lacking at best concerning the temp situation with central air,
best i can do is tell about central heat and air in my bedroom gro days

it was great in the cooler months,
I didn't need the ac at all and i even pumps heat back into the house at nite but summers were borderline with temps pushing mid 80s running 2000w and the AC bottomed out as far as possible.
another thing is room size, 2Kws in an 7.5ft x 8ft room has its limits relying on central AC,
the larger the room the easier temps are to control.

with you running 1000w, 1/2 of what i did you'll be cruising imo.
what i really didn't like about the central air/heat thing is the gro dictated the temps for the entire house in warmer months.
i had to turn on the AC long before i normally would in spring but
hey, gots ta do what ya gots ta do.

great choice on SB
sour bubble is special as many already kno.
what I'm growing is for me and close family only.
congrats on snagging a pak,
BOG gear is in the top tier as breeders go imho.

hey Mckush,
in the chop and trim mode as we type.
I know the rooms capable of 10-12 bows
I have a lot from seed in there but my next round will put out the goods for sure.
currentlyI am getting 200+ gram plants right now and I have 250 back up cuts for everything

hey!!
we'll have to have a bloc party when your room goes online.....

I think that the problem with central air is that the whole house is treated as a single space, but all the heat is concentrated in one room, the grow room. If the thermostat is in the grow room, you'll freeze in the rest of the house, and if it's somewhere else then it can't directly control the A/C in the grow room. Central A/C usually has a fan on switch, which would probably help even out temps, I think.

Putting a booster fan inline in the duct to the grow room might help, I think, but having a way for air to return easily into the rest of the house is a big part of that. Perhaps a large-ish grille cut into the wall between the room & the hallway or whatever would help, I think. If it were up near the ceiling that would likely help as well. In a rental, a person could substitute a door with a grille up high, then switch back when moving out. Dunno if running the booster fan all the time or just with the light would be best.

I have no experience with tents, either, but hush does, uses a window A/C to cool a room with a tent. His results are quite good. Check out this thread-

Hey man what can I say brah... perfection takes time. Plus im building a fucking Cadillac man. Go big or stay home is my motto in just about everything.

Working on my drain and ventilation. Expanding my crawl too... yeah digging. I didn't get my fill of that yet. It is coming.

Just past my 1 year anniversary of my studio and indoor garden plan conception. Im on month 7 of build. ... my design criteria were pretty formidable tho too. The studio side is my man cave and ill not compromise. Ill get some pics up soon.

hehe yeah I know what you mean. No matter how hard I plan and study I know I'll miss or screw something up. Not sure what just yet though or I'd fix it ahead of time... I'm still trying to finalize exactly where all the lines will run from the crawl to the FR. I'll get there soon enough. Its the journey more than the finish.

Speaking of 'back to the drawing board'.

I DIYed a carbon filter/extractor, with an inline duct fan. Haven't replaced the carbon filter pad since last year. Weather warmed up for a bit.

Smelled like a whole tribe of skunks had moved in. lol

Remains to be seen if the filter replacement is sufficient today. Just hate to advertise.
