OGA Zombie Virus?

Zombie Virus was pretty popular from something like 2009-2012, then it just sort of fell of the radar. Does anyone know if this strain is still available or did it fall by the wayside? Always wanted to give it a try.

No takers? Seems like their site is offline so I'm assuming it's not possible to get the strain anymore. Does it live on in F2’s, or maybe hybrids?

I remember that strain......looked killer, very frosty.

Not sure what happened to those guys, seemed like really cool peeps too.

They had a couple of strains I think, though I could wrong...

I have one female and one male from a pack I got in 2009. I gave 2 seeds away a while ago and 2 did not crack, the last 4 I have been trying to germinate for over a week now... not looking so good.

I actually have some questions about my male zombie virus... comes with a little back story so here goes.
Early on in vegetation it received a little bit of stress damage from a poorly designed grow room door falling on it...fixed that problem fast haha. So the plant made a full recovery and I forgot about the whole thing. Once it was time to flower I noticed it shooting out pistils from the first and fourth nodes and maybe some of the second. Thought it was weird but figured it was a female. Where I really starting getting confused was when it started clearly producing male bits on every other branch. I almost killed it because I thought it was a hermie, but did some reading and realized it was probably stress damage from the fallen door. Am I correct in thinking this? Anyways, I kept it going and I had it along side a God Berry male that was also about to drop pollen. The God Berry was with the Zombie Virus for about 3 or 4 days while i was collecting pollen from it. The Zombie has been alone since then. I finished collecting pollen and chopped off the top half of the plant and any male bits I could find and left all the female parts to see what would happen. Well a couple weeks later I am clearly seeing 2 types of seeds on this plant. The original Zombie Virus seeds were a pale green/almost white but a solid color. The God Berry seeds were very dark brown with tiger stripes. And those are the two types of seeds I am seeing on the Zombie Virus now. Am I correct in assuming it was in fact pollinated by itself AND the God Berry? I know there is little chance the self pollinated seeds will be viable, but how about the ones that may or may not have a God Berry father? I've been scouring through the forums and cant quite find the answer.

The green seeds are most likely from a later pollenation.

A plant can pollenate itself & create viable seed so the tiger stripe seed is probably a mix of the two.

Pop em n find out.
keep an eye out for intersex plants n toss 'em.
ya can't grow sensimelia with herms around. ;)

Well the tiger striped seeds were showing up first and there are only a few of those and the stripes came quickly and they are large to match the God Berry seeds I had planted. The rest of the green seeds are fading to white and staying small to match the original Zombie Virus seeds I had planted. Am I wrong in thinking seed size/shape/color is strain specific? Or does it depend on how they were grown? Sorry, I haven't had much experience in the whole seed making process.

Cannabis seed generally takes about 4-6 weeks to mature.

Green/white seeds are immature seeds. Some may pop but most will not, ime.

If both males were dropping pollen at the same time, more than likely the mature seed is from both pollen doners. The green seeds are likely a later pollenation from the intersex plant throwing late nanners.

I'm only speaking from what I've seen.

Accidental pollen can be fun or it can be a nightmare.

I'll be sure to get my post count up so I can start a thread for the new batch of seeds. I will have whatever comes of this zombie virus male, 10-20 seeds of a godberry mom pollinated with the zombie male, and another 10-20 seeds of a zombie virus mom pollinated by a godberry male.

The Zombie Virus female is a special pheno. I've seen a few grows of this strain in person and all the females smelled really sweet like grape or mixed fruits/berries. My zombie is looking more sativa dominant since it's been in flower and it smells of diesel, cottage cheese, chemicals, and a hint of citrus. Aside from seeds, I am keeping this alive via clones :)

The GodBerry female is pretty typical for the strain. It smells like a skunk running through allllll the berry patches. I'm going to flower out one more clone and then I will be focusing on her children.

I think ya might want to make more seeds than 10-20 of each. 2 reasons...
1-You probably won't see all of the genetic potential in the crosses with so few seeds.
&
2-Just in case something happens with your parent plants before you get a chance to make more seeds.

I try to make at least 100 seeds per mother. A couple times, I made a few thousand.

If they're good... then they're good for sharing/trading as well.

That's what I originally had planned, but I was getting a little ahead of myself. As of now I only have space to pop 10 seeds a month, so I'm kind of relying on luck with the smaller numbers. Plus it's more so I don't have to buy too many more seeds. Would love to produce seeds of quality strains on a larger scale in the future, but for now I'm just trying to gain experience without overwhelming myself. I'm also working with Sour Cream, and BlackBerry Kush. So this year is dedicated to finding to best of the bunch and try to make them better. Thanks for the tips, I will definitely increase the seed production next time and see if I can get a couple of my buddies to help me test grow.
