Nirvana Feminized AK48 Feminized, T5, first time tent grow

Hi all!

I wanted to document this grow as this is my first time indoors and could use some tips/pointers of what I could be doing better. I'm just getting my feet wet here.

Tent: 3'X1.7'X2.5' I plan to LST my two plants
Grow medium: organic seed starter mix(switching to ffoc @ transplant)
Light: 4X2foot mixed spectrum T5 bulbs
Ferts: ff big bloom(started feeding 1/2 strength)
ff grow big
ff tiger bloom

Ventilation: 1 6" inline fan with carbon scrubber for flower

Here are the two little girlshttps://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=52525&pictureid=1225847
One got lost in the seed starter and had a slow starthttps://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=52525&pictureid=1225846

Both seem to be doing well with their new ferts..

It's hard not to overwater as that is my gut instinct..giving one good water per day just to wet the soil good and to keep her searching a bit for more ..

Temps are ranging from 70-76 degrees F with a small fan blowing directly at the plants/bottom of light

I was surprised to see the temp with my tent closed climbed to 87!! I need to fix this as I've been leaving the tent open to keep them cool but now I'm sleeping in my living room:watchplant:
Not the first time I've been displaced by a lady:biggrin:

I'll update every few days
Thanks for any and all imput
Happy Growing!

You can just give water at this stage of the game.I would hold off on the fertilizer for a abit.
The other thing is the heat you have to fix that situation. May be just run 2 light bulbs in your fixture.
One other thing is I would have a clear baggy over those plants and that will keep them in a moist environment like a mini atrium.
Next is the clear containers, They are ok for now but soon you might want cover the sides so no light get at the roots.
oh yes and put holes in bottom of containers.

I have a couple small yellowish/gold spots from too much heat I am hoping

Loving the ferts so far...Ph 7.0
starting 1/4 strength grow big on thursday

If these plants are in fox farm ocean forest they should need no ferts for up to 45 days.Error on the side of less nutes is better. You can even use the leftover soil as a TOPDRESSING ocean forest is some powerful stuff!Straight out the bag runoff reads up to 1500 ppm!!

Im doing an all water grow with ocean forest and happy frog.Right before flowering I transplant into 5 gallon bags with fresh soil and Roots organics uprising bloom. No phing no mixing nutrients.Towards the end of week 5 flowering i will top dress with ocean forest and uprising.IM not tooting my own horn but i get spectacular results like this.

My point was if you have fox farm in there at this stage you shouldnt need any nutes.Anything extra is overkill.Good luck

I am almost sure I have one Indica slow grower and the fast growing sativa leaning pheno Nirvana AK48 is known for. Day 20

This one looks so runtish...very curious to see what she does

Today was a very bad day for the runtish indica. The transpant was friggin messy...sooo many roots snapped by me gimping it:mad:

The transplant on the bigger one went well after I changed my technique a bit...but both are looking very sad a half hour after the carnage. Anyone have any tips on how to minimize damage from the bad transplant?

Maxicrop kelp is good for roots. The girls will take
a few days to rebound.

Plants look good!

Thank you Ph-patrol, tokersmoke, tleaf jr, and Dropped Cat for the comments/tips. I will look into that kelp...first ive heard of it

world of difference a few hours later
