WOW the master has changed his ways and I say big ups! Doing what works for your current situation and going with it shows courage. After your promotion of vert many would have not had the courage to publicly admit a change of direction and I applaud you for being straight forward. If I did not abide by plant counts for my region SOG could be so awesome but alas I am a coward that skirts inside my local laws (not that I couldn't get away with it but see previous coward comment). I feel that you are my original vert mentor and I will continue to carry the vert banner for us low plant count peoples because it can't be beat under my circumstances. Much love brother, looking forward to your upped GPW.

Thanks Sqydro, she really is a great contender. Best commerical cut in my garden. She flowers in 7-8 weeks but I like to take her to 8. She grows like a sativa but man she is done QUICK lol. She also has a very strong fruity/skunky smell and packs a good punch, great stone to the high. She placed in a few cups in Spain over the years. Much, much different from all other Critical Mass cuts that I've grown....way better.

Just so you guys know, I am in no way saying that horizontal growing is better than vertical because it is not for, this is the important part plant numbers If I had a choice for 6 plants per lamp I would go vertical every time because I consistently hit big numbers from this way of growing, more that I ever did when growing in a horizontal setup BUT I am looking to change my game and grow in a SOG style setup with 25 plants per bulb/4x4' tray now to do this in a vertical setup is a shit load of work, just ask bobble. It's just a ball buster to get setup where as if I move to horizontal it makes my life sooo much more easier plus it's a lot easier to break down the setup and take it to another location very quickly rather than breaking down vertical racks if ya know what I'm sayin'. For me it's convenience that wins plus I know doneit is totally slaying the numbers and I like what I see, check out his albums. On that note I think I should change this thread title to HGO's final vert donut.
But it's great to see you on the boards again man, I know SOG can scare the shit out of some people but at this stage in my life I don't give a crap about it, if I get busted I'll go do my time and upon release I shall re-locate and start sailing again. I'm glad that you got something out of my grow logs, that's why I like to make them....if they can help another grower up their game then I'm happy.

Day 44 Flower

Okay guys things are going good at the grow. Temps are getting a little high though, I popped into there today and the temps were at 88F yikes! I tuned off a few bulbs and turned on my intake fan to hopefully cool things down. I'm going to pull the plug on the heaters coming on at night, seems they are not needed now that the weather is getting warmer. I have also given them too much Nitrogen in flower, the leaves are a little green for my liking and I'm seeing that some plants aren't packing on the usual amount of crystal. Damn Canna A&B nutes, I'll never use them again...they don't have an A&B for flower...you're meant to use the same one throughout the grow from start to finish which is a ball ache because I have to drop the EC of the A&B and add in some PK 13/14 to make the feed more suitable for the stage that the plants are at...God help any newbies starting out with Canna A&B and going by their guidelines....jeeze.
Otherwise the plants are looking good, a lil green under the gills from the extra N but still they are beefing up nicely. I'm at day 44 flower and using GH Ripen at the moment, almost time to start the flush, I am going to start flushing the 8 weekers tomorrow....anyhow on with the pics hehe.

Hi Green, thanks man. Nah it's actually the start of Nitrogen toxicity,the leaves will curl up like that when there is too much nitrogen and you sure as hell don't want Nitrogen toxicity when your plants are budding because you WILL suffer in yield and trich production...fucking canna A&B...never again. Too much heat will make your leaves cup in the opposite way...like a taco....taco leaf curl

Try out Plant Magic if you can get them.....ace stuff. I won't be needing any veg nutes from now on.....I'm switching over to flora nova the whole way through...I'll only be vegging a few days from rooted cuts. Oh and yeah too much nitrogen in flower will for sure fuck your shit up real quick.

ye when plant magic came out first i got the full range as samples for free from local shop. worked out fine but they never re stocked it. plant magic root granuels are really good explosive root growth,
next time im in grow shop ill see what else they have in stock. the learning curve never ends

You say that canna A&B is shit cuz there is no nutes dedicated for flowering, i have to say this is not correct bro. For last over a year i use canna cOGR nutes and they are just perfect for my coco recirc. systems. Those are canna nutes decicated for coco systems but there is A&B VEGA and A&B FLORES, i use them with calmag, silicone and canna boost/kool bloom powder when flowering. I've passed those nutes to my mate who hand water his plants and works perfect too. Those nutes are not very popular yet and i always have to order them at local hydro shops but it's worth it to wait imo.
