was it the need of automatic watering that made you consider reconstruction?

As always rabbit...your shit is tight. (thanks for the pic) No reference to rabbit shit...that is actually pretty tight aswell.

I need to fuck off for a week at the end of the month. I can hook up a watering feed easy peasy for the 5-7 days I'm away...but why should I do a special event? I should be auto feeding all the time.

Thing is I want to turn this into a perpetual SOG cab...thats alot of hose....fucking around. I want to be able to raise lil plants to the light as needed...back down as they stretch...

K' thats a work in proress.

5th the work out mat light proofing is a stroke of genius. This idea will be borrowed. Very tidy work.

Like Batman say's "with great stupidity comes something or other"

I just wanted absolute. Due to the ignorance I show all my grows...figured this was the least I could do for them.

Always awesome when the guys doing the actual work show up...and then drop positive vibes.

Stay safe :tiphat:

i hear you man, but this still can be done.
on a side note: micro sog is a pita :) unless your strain doesn't stretch a lot.

i had the same hose issue when attempted the minisog. to reduce hassle with the hoses, i attached them all to form a ring.

if you did the same and placed the pots on a common platform (shelf/mini table) that would move up and down, then you would not need to worry about adjustments to each single hose. :good:

it would be very handy to install drawer slides on the sides of the flower chamber. this way you could install a moving shelf that would slide out completely with all the pots standing on it. the watering ring should have some extra length left behind so that you can slide the shelf out to full extent.

^ great for full access and maintenance.
however, it would be mounted on non-adjusting level at all times so it only makes half of the solution.
therefore in your position i would consider installation of 2 or 3 sets of drawer slides, that would allow different distance to bulbs.

the only question is whether you would be able to detach the shelf from one slide set and push it into another set gently enough for the plants and hoses to remain intact.

^ hope this all makes sense...
well, food for thought :tiphat:

It does, and it is...

I tell ya my friend...I've no idea what the future of this cab is...
So many choices...

What are the cover plates made of?

They are foam. Like a yoga mat.
I wanted something flexible, cheap, and easy to install.
The fact they are malleable (to help with neg. air pressure) was the main priority for me.

Ti-i-ight! I have to cut holes in standing strand board and might mount an intake fan in 1 of the holes. Wasn't looking forward to it and the wads of tape to seal it up.

Now I can cut square-ish and stretch a chunk of foam over the housing - and wrap the fan with a strip to cut vibration noise. Brilliant fix!

I've been playing around in google sketchup lately to try n' make myself a hidden space to run a 600 or three...and I think you just solved how I'm going to exhaust my space.

Thanks. :tiphat:

noyd666 also posted up a pic in another thread where he attaches planters pots to the fan casing. Making it easy as hell to slip duct work onto n' off of the fan. (I'll try to find the pic)

Gotta love this place...always good shit to read n' learn.

I removed them mate, so I took another photo, handy as hell if no fucken patience stripping tape off or on, or no loot to buy metal ones. these are german fans with a concave end so it makes it easy to slide on an off, but still work on others. the middle part of these fans just unclip to pull out. have fun mate.

....well fuck...

I went North for week. Let a buddy of mine come over to water the girls. All he had to do was give them plain water n' not burn the tips. lol...well at least they got watered.
After he picked me up we drove around for a bit...he took me to all these re-use stores n' liquidation places.

So my ace in the hole....my favorite plant. She's got the fuely aroma of a truck stops gravel parking lot... and she's half fuckin' dead.

Stress has really fucked her up...

Pots still got weight to it even though she has the droopy leaves of a thirsty plant.

Least she fits in the cab better now.

I love it when ideas swirl around here and come full circle. You used foam, I took that and adapted it and you took it back adapting it once again. Great for us monetarily challenged folk.

I picked up a foam sleeping bag pad for $8 - plenty of material to make mistakes with now.

Cut a piece to small? It tore somehow? NO PROBLEM...you now have material to make neoprene inserts for netpots

No cutting yet. Im trying to figure out if I just want to take that whole piece of wall out and go full foam, laddering in slats to support it all. Its gonna look like swiss cheese if I just keep cutting through the wall.
