mmar injunction APPEAL filed by feds

The federal government has filed an appeal of the injunction / granting PPL and DPL growers reprieve from the repeal of the MMAR.

More to come....

MMAR patients print this page and affix to your wall beside your license. Also print a copy and affix to your valid ATP...

http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/marihuana/access-access-eng.php

Lol 5 people will print it out and post it.

Last week the gov said the injunction only applied to Allard. Tuscow shot that down. Two days later they change their mind and now their lawyers says we interpret this differently once again now its if you had a valid possession as of March 21st.

They are desperate to twist this around 20 times to create FUD and I'm pretty sure they want the appeal so they can get the judge to side with them on the March 21 ATP expiry.

What new evidence do they have that would grant them an appeal? Are they confused as to what the judge said?

When is the appeal supposed to be heard in court?
I wonder what is the reason for it? You can't appeal a courts decision simply because you don't like it.
Edit: Chimera, is this in BC Supreme Court?

This is the Federal Court- in reference to the Allard case being fought by John Conroy which granted MMAR users an 'extension' of their license.

Crown filed #appeal of #allard injunction. #mmot #mmar #mmpr. No hearing date set yet."

The federal government has filled an appeal of the injunction granted; they claim there were procedural issues, something about reliance on incorrect facts, consideration whether the court has jurisdiction to grant this injunction. Harper is gonna go down swinging on this one... the government seemingly intends to fight this case like a war (on patients), they have the best canadian law firms on retainer clearly working hard on their strategy, and plan on coming at this case with every possible attack to shut down self-production of this harmless flower.

No news on when the appeal could be heard, it was just filed today....

hi chimera,

thanks for sharing

if they dont have conroy on retainer, then they dont have the best imvho.

we have seen all the rhetoric hearsay that the gov't has presented. it may be used on forums or the streets, but not in a court of law.

people vs the state? people win id say. interesting to see though

Prohibition on Alcohol, was revoked because the populous continued to use Alcohol and break the law, not because the law was wrong. It was thought to be better to revoke the prohibition than to continue with legal action against the(for the most part law abiding) population which was rejecting the laws that made Alcohol illegal.

If a bunch of backward thinking religious racists, could see fighting the countries population over an unjust law was a complete waste of time and money. Why are the powers that be, having such a hard time realizing the exact same situation exists on Marijuana laws today. We never seem to learn from the past, just continue to repeat it.

Lets legalize and be done with it...For Fuck Sakes!!!

Peace...B

There's too much money being made from fighting MJ and imagine what would happen to alcohol sales if mj became legal. I think they would tank along with tobacco sales.

Also imagine how much it would affect pharma sales. Now the someone would say yah see look how much profits those companies lost but in reality the money just shifted from one industry to another. So the money people saved from say alcohol sales was transferred to cannabis sales or anything for that matter. The money and tax generation just didn't disappear.

alcohol is very addictive, in every way.

i could see cannabis being used to get people off liquor. dont see much competition though

Cannabis is going to drastically effect profits from Pharma, Alchohol and Tabacco.

They have about 5 years left to keep printing money imo

i will disagree.

thats like saying heroin and crack junkies or methheads would just turn to pot just cuz its legal lol. addictive will always beat out non addictive substances.

true fact: the more marijuana gets legalized globally, the more heroin gets produced, the more addicts it claims, the more deaths and overdoses recorded
