Mold and Clove Oil - in Oz anyway

I did a search and didn't find anything on Clove Oil, at all.

It's something that occurs to me, having the intention of starting a tent grow and knowing how humid it can get in Bris with possible high temps from 2000w of light in a 4.5m2 area, with the possibility of condensation with our winter overnight temps. BTW, found this - http://www.dpcalc.org/ - here - https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=5921446&postcount=3

For a couple years recently we had floods and Clove Oil was very useful. It kills the spores of black mold, it did when I had to use it to prevent further lung invasion, and I have used it on occasion to head off any mold development - it cleans the air as far as I can tell - haven't gotten ill from black mold since using Clove Oil.

I intend erecting the tent in the same area the black mold has been and I'll use Clove Oil as a prevention.

I also see from other threads - https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=5963993&postcount=14 - for example, [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]aspirin can be used as a prevention.

Any thoughts or ideas, especially from Aussies ...?

I use Neem Oil....to a great extent, as you would use your clove oil, neem from India, is great for mold and bugs too, and its organic, just 1x teaspoon to a spray bottle(1liter) fill with warm warm spray 2x times a day puts a great defense on any plant, not so close to harvest tho, as neem is an acquired taste ...lol

look to reducing your Rh intake ...take your air from inside the house, with minimal spores ?

That's probably a better idea, Neem is at least 1/10th the cost of Clove Bud Oil here - it smells divine. Up to a couple weeks before harvest then ... if necessary.

Probably best to prep the room with a bleach wash before erecting the tent in it and I might look into using small UV lamps at (room) intake to sterilize the air - it's used in A/C systems to prevent distribution of contaminated air.

There is a lot to this growing business but I think I'll have things ready for a grow in a month or so. The most important part, the seeds, are on the way.

Along with other preventative measures I think I'll sterilise the room (including flyscreens) to start and fit a paper truck (or similar) filter on tent intake/s (inside the room) to filter larger particles. Have also been looking at viability of using UV to sterilise air once inside the filter, same as used on fish tanks.

I see a lot of work ahead of my first indoor grow - but no more than other project/s I have done.

Can you be specific about your mold/flood issues?

This https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=80568 is a very interesting thread regarding mould and its prevention or cure. Started by someone who knew his stuff and is now gone to the great spirit. Free at last brother.

It seems potassium bicarbonate, properly formulated with a surfactant and something (oil?) to make it stick works wonders. Read the thread.

I haven't tried it but will if I get mould. An australian product (for the Op) with the same or similar ingredients is this http://ecoorganicgarden.com.au/products/pest-disease/eco-fungicide/ or this (same company I think) http://shop.ocp.com.au/product/ecocarb/

The US product is called GreenCure, to be applied at 1/2 to 3/4 the recommended dose of 1 Tbls per gallon (US I suppose).
