Day 33-35, I took 4 plants out of the tent at this point.

Day 36 or so. 4 plants in the tent, the one in the bottom left corner was also taken out and replaced with a small Black cream so all pics after day 36 will only contain pictures of the black cream.

Thanks for stepping by Tommy! They seem to have fattened up a little bit the last 2 days, I've introduced them to pk13/14 also now. :)
Have a great weekend!:tiphat:

What is your guys thoughts on pruning the lower parts of the plant and possibly remove fan leaves from higher up?

Day 46 update: 2 plants in the back going strong, the one in front is still just starting to flower but its about as wide as the two others and it has 3 branches per node.

Dont remove fan leaves if you want tight colas, every fan leaf you remove starts stretching of upper internode and you get more leaves, and fluffy buds, you can surely trim lower undeveloped branches but that s all,I wouldnt recommend any unnecesseary training, pruning or trimming past 3 week of flowering...they are looking pretty good if you ask me,they will give you some great tight buds there

Thanks for the reply man. They are at week 7 in a few days so I'm worried about doing pruning at all now, but if I was gonna do it, would it be okay if I removed 10-20 of the small branches that are growing on the bigger branches? (forgot the name for it):tiphat:

I wouldnt remove nothing if i was you but that is just my peace of mind...maybe someone else will tell you something different that is more pleasing...I never remove anything past 3 week of flowering,I trim branches that dont show good bud development and at the end of 4 weeks I lay of the nitrogen and start boosting P and K and that pretty much does the trick for me

Thanks again, I did not remove anything, I made a new grow room instead so now the plants can spread out a little more so the light also reaches the bottom of the plants. :)

Please don't mind the looks of the room, I am covering the walls with white tarp tomorrow and hanging the lamps a little sturdier.

Budshot, I used flash on the picture so it's a bit brighter than it really is.. Anyways, I'm starting to worry again.. thinking they should be purple by now? :|

Hi DrBagseed!

Seems like you got the "not so purple" pheno. It's 2 Black Cream plants you have, right?

If they are not purple/red now I doubt they will be very purple in the end, but I still think they will acquire a few purple tones as maturity approaches.

A picture with no flash and under natural day light would also help to share a better opinion. But the flower looks very nice. Even if you get a pheno more of the Cream Caramel side you'll get a very good quality smoke...

Keep us updated, sweet smokes!

Hey Tommy. That's not good news, but fortunately I have 2 more Black Creams. One which I don't bother so much with pictures because its so spindly and the other one that is 120 cm+ wide that is just starting to bud. Hopefully one of them leans more toward the purple genetics.

I will get some bud shots with another source of lightning that hopefully will give some better insight.
Have a great day

Whole grow room, photoperiod plants squared out.

The plant in the frame in front is a slow blooming Black Cream, but it has finally started to make a few calyxes so it's starting now, I guess i'm getting some ounces of that bad girl. I've also tied down the top and I'm training it to grow out to one of the sides.

Here you can see the spindly black cream I have talked about.

Some nugs, I'm going to borrow a better camera soon so I can get decent pictures.

The plants are at day 56 now I think and the spindly one is probably around 40-45 days. I'm considering starting to flush them now but I want to get most possible weight and I haven't seen any amber trichs yet, what are your guys thoughs on flushing these plants?

Hi Dr., what a nice grow you have there, fella!
the Black Cream needs 9 weeks at least to finish, maybe a bit more.
Thanks for sharing,
Sweet smokes!

I would'nt flush those yet. From the looks of things, the plants are about to plump up and pack on all the weight.
Wait till the hairs get 50% red and brown, and the top cola starts to harden off.
It takes about 2 wks after this happens, for a plant to mature to 10% clear to 90% cloudy trichs, with an amber here and there.
Another 10 days after that, if you want a good ratio of cloudy to amber.

If you want 20% amber, wait to flush atleast another week. Then flush for 10 days, and harvest.
a 9 wk (minimum) strain, is usually harvestable on day 68 -70.
I usually let most strains go a week longer than specified. Some phenos may be quicker and will let you know.
Some phenos may take much longer. Even 2 to 3 weeks longer sometimes. Its all pheno dependant.
From the looks of the pics, I would say your pheno is a 101/2 - 11 weeker for 20% amber.
