Wow, I've been enjoying this thread a lot. I started from the beginning and just now finished. I bought 10 Nep Jam seeds from Ace in 2011, and I'm going to start growing them out in a couple weeks. I have to wait for some Afghani #1 (Jordan of the Islands) and Atomic Northern Lights to move further along before I can start the Nep Jam, but this thread has made me stoked to get rolling.

To all who grew successfully and posted here: Congratulations and well done. You are too numerous to name individually, but you know who you are.

Greetings,

My NepalJams just went into the ground outside! I have two in the same pot, and whichever shows a pre-flower pistil will be the keeper, and the other will get cut.

This one below has leaves that I believe look like the Jamaican Blue Mountain. I have seen a Jamaican privately collected that had leaves just like this. The shape of the leaves are like Jamaican BM, but it is shorter and bushier than the other.

I'm planning on building a greenhouse over the top of these so they can grown until Nov. 1. Hopefully, these will be done well before.

All the Best,

I did a winter grow and only popped 1 of 6 seeds, he was a frosty male, i think he leaned towards JBM cuz of the skinny leaves. I'm into breeding and watching how the genetics show themselves. NepJam males can be just as special... but hey do your thang. Hope your grow goes well :smoke:

Hi Aquaponicos,

I'll be cutting one out of the pot, so the other can grow as big as possible, but I'll take a cutting of the ones that gets cut out. I have Bangi Haze in the other 3 pots, and I'm going to use pollen from Bangi Haze and NepalJams to keep the Bangi-Jam (mostly Nepalese) line going into the future.

Check out a couple of the Bangi Haze:

This is my first try with NepJam, the seeds were freebies from Ace - many thanks :tiphat:

Anyway I just threw a clone in to fill a hole, first chance I've had to get her in flower. About 4 weeks and in a 3.8 liter pot, single cola is now about 65 cm. I'm hoping for good things based on all the good reports on her smoke qualities.

This is at about 6 weeks of 12/12. I think she is going to be worth keeping around, and the next time I should be able to manage her for a little better yield. I think I have about 4 weeks to go and I'm considering changing her to a larger container tomorrow. Most of the pistils in lower flowers have turned already. Not really picking up any aromas yet but she is in with some stinky Mextiza. Looking forward to trying her for sure.

Welcome Haze Demon,

you are experiencing the 2 main different Nepal Jam phenos: the short nepalese pheno and the taller and more long flowering jamaican pheno. Both are great, it just depends on the individuals you have found and your own taste.

Nepal Jam has been inbred a few generations and is usually not consider among the big yielders from our catalogue, but she produces good quality sativa flowers in a very short time and it grows compact like indoor hybrids, overall a great strain for indoor and outdoor growing.

Beautiful start ThaiBliss :)

I can feel all the effort and time that you invested to prepare the soil, very good job!

It's a very good idea to cross Bangi Haze with Nepal Jam (or viceversa). Both strains are fast flowering inbred sativa dominant hybrids, the outcome of the cross will be almost like an F1 and you will be able to easily find vigorous and better yielding expressions.

Wish the outdoor season comes good for you and we can enjoy with your updates during their development and in late flowering.

Hi Sisu, nice resins and colors :)

Looks like she will finish soon, maybe is not worth to change her to a bigger pot if she is already maturing, Nepal Jam doesn't produce much extra yield in late flowering.

If you keep clones, next time provide her with more soil since early flowering and she will produce better.

Kind regards!

Hey Dubi! I bought a packet of Nepalese Jam a couple years ago and have just started growing them out. 11 of 12 germinated, and I'm vegging the six best under T5HOs, using hand-watered rock wool as the medium and General Hydroponics Flora Series nutes. Still very early at Day 7 of veg, but so far so good. I'll come back with updates.

I live in a very warm dry northern hemisphere climate, so I'll be doing the entire grow under T5HO lamps, including flowering under a 432w 8 bulb 4' fixture.

I plan to veg for 40 days, then flip. Depending on the male/female ratio, I expect to flower only 2-3 plants. As always with my grows, I'll be chucking pollen and hope to have some nice F2 seeds.
