I know most all of us are glad spring has sprung.... BUT DAM-it...
for me spring has been a whirlwind of NUTz.....\
first my wifes best friend has complications w/ a baby delivery...
sending my wife out of town for 3 days... thus embedding my 19mo. old daughter.... to stay home w/ me for 3 straight days...cabin fever...
So I take off and make a couple trips back and forth to Seattle i'm 2 hrs each way...So I cross the mountains often....
well the dam spring melt on the mountain makes a mess.....
anyone that gets BIG snow knows what I mean....snow is a messy black crap when it melts.....like mud...{ I'm w/in an hour of the big mudslide.....}
ended up having to get my brakes done rotars turned.... just to remove excess ice and road salt.... 400 bucks later.....and an afternoon of entertaining a 1 1/2 yr old @ the mechanics for 4 hrs.....

theres more.... much more....

So living in the middle of the state we have High dessert environment...
Very little rain... so we depend on a massive irrigation system that covers most of the area providing FREE water irrigation in town and for agriculture.... thru out the area....

traditionally the county turns the irrigation on by April 15th thru Oct 15th....

Well this year they started early.... and I return home to ^ busted water vales.... a cracked water filter.... and a water back up that cracked a pipe....WHERE.... in the dAM GROW ROOM...of course

SHATTER 2 BULBS.... FRIED 2 new 1K BALLETS...BLEW { HOT } GLASS ALL OVER THE PLANTS AND BURNT THE SHIT OUT OF THEM...
flooded the whole area for 36 straight hours until i discovered this AM....all the insulation is soaked.... fan burnt up.... Window unit fried....plants sitting in 10 inches of dirty water....just fried

finally blew the main on the breaker box..... guess thats what stopped it from burning down everything....

so far.... cAR 400 BUCKS
BALLAST 300
BULBS 200
ROOM 400
time and effort ???

i'M OUT 13/1400 BUCKS AND HAVE YET TO EVEN START FIXING.....
or replacing

end rant

besides my latest health travesty.....

I'm diabetic, and have developed a Bacterial Skin infection on my foot /leg that is SO RARE, and uncommon.... I'm on my 3rd specialist to find a course of med's and therapy.... the bacteria is resistant to almost every antibiotic, and feeds on the sugar in my high blood sugars.... kind of a perpetual loop of problem after problem....

besides the irritation, and aggravation.....

of and 1/3 of my leg and foot look like I got leprosy or worst.....

enuff I'm tired... and got a mess to deal w/

Oy Vey! So sorry to hear that Yort... When it rains it pours and you've had too much...

Praying for relief and more for you!

Besides being a most amazingly cool moderator here, you are one fine guy taking care of so much, so tirelessly without complaining.

I hope sweet relief is on its way to you and things get better soon.

Wow, Yort - sorry to hear of the hardships. That has got to be stressful and mentally exhausting.

Glad it wasn't worse though and that your home is still standing!

Here's some good vibes your way, buddy.

I feel your pain yort, sending good vibes your way.

I had burst water pipes before one winter. Nightmare. Had to get rid of a load of plants and strip down a room before the landlord came to check the damage. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Hope you get it all worked out mate, and all the best with your health

yikes.
regarding your high blood sugar, i'd recommend cutting out all wheat.
a slice of wheat bread sends blood sugar through the roof (about as much as a candy bar).

read "Wheat Belly" if you wanna know more.

Just an FYI, MH and HPS bulbs contain mercury so I wouldn't smoke anything that was exposed when the bulbs broke.

Also yort, something to think about for the rash. You could try some probiotics, they can bolster your body's own immune system and help you kick that shit outta town, add some grapefruit seed extract for a double whammie.

Sometimes the over use of antibiotics can lead to health problems, the probiotics correct what ever was thrown off after using antibiotics. Antibiotics are indiscriminate killers and kill off the body's good bacteria as well as the bad.

the good news.... i was shutting down the bloom room in may anyway to run a greenhouse run for full season... and keep w/ in my ####'s.... so the county stay off my ass....
so really i got all summer / fall long to redo, and repair my bloom room....

luckily... my Veg /seedlings are in another area all together and not affected....So I'm still on tract for a full run this summer..... just will have to buy smoke this summer....thAt SUXs...

on another note..... landed a potential longterm Catering Client for a new local up and coming winery... that is opening a summer spa.... and would like me to provide the food....for this and possibly ALL upcoming events..... kinda of a exclusive deal as the only approved caterer for that site.....and by weekly wine/food pairings... for up to 100 folks each time....... right up my alley

Well that's better news than yesterday!

Still awful to lose your room so near to finish... :(

The gig sounds like a great gig, and also something fun to do. Much respect for keeping on and carrying onwards!

I had 3 grams of chemdog sour diesel pollen in my freezer in glass tubes. I was just lining up some S1 seedstock to germinate and was going to produce some seed. I went to the freezer to retrieve the pollen and couldn't find it.
several days later I noticed a small piece of broken glass under a chair near the freezer and it turned out it was part of the tube that held the pollen.
the wife had rummaged in there for dinner and had knocked the tube onto the floor.

several months work and thousands in potential seed swept up and disposed(forgotten...she said) without a word. guilt must've been heavy, she cleaned up every indication but one small shard of glass.

life sometimes pitches fast, sometimes low and outside.
keep your bases loaded!
