Cali Orange - Seedlines

Thanks for the feedback, for a minute I was thinking that finding a California Orange seedline was a much straightforward thing, the "Orange" strains was abundant not so long ago, and off course, such a long standing strains should be more or less conserved in some seedlines from one of the major seedbanks. Seems to be that is not the case at all...
In regards of your comments dr.penthotal, I will look more in details your strains, nevertheless due the particular situation on monetary policies of our government, I am unable to use the seedbay at the moment. I can only look for afar the various varietals and imagine how will look in my garden.
As I stated before, I am interested in trusty seedline of California Orange, I am sure that the terpenoids that create the citrus smell and taste are in place on the TGA offers, but the question on budget is priority.
On the potency I think that read in this forum, that the Cali-O was a bit mellow by design, of course having secured the strain in our genetic genepool, we can crossed with something that bolster this attributes as Harpo did.
Well, we got one report of the Orange Bud that is good, and one that is full of mutants.
I'll be waiting for more contributions but as it is, only Californian Orange from Homegrown Fantaseeds remains viable to me.

Cali-O is potent it depends on the skills of the grower, if you are too light with the nutes or too aggressive it will result in lower potency. It's an euphoric high, feel good high, calm mellow thing, well with what I have anyway which is a clone from 12 years ago that was passed down to me 6 years ago. I know people that only want Cali-O. It's an excellent plant in every way. I hope you get it so you will have the joy of raising it.

Not sure if this was mentioned already but there was Cannacopia's Cali.o.Ae77 x Deep Chunk. I know these aren't commercially available any more but there are a few Icmag'ers who keep threatening to release the F2 or crosses of it.

I ordered some Tangerine Dream seeds because I think it will a Cali-O like plant, TD pics looks a lot like Cali-O flowers and the description sound like Cali-O. If anyone was interested in an Orange Strain try TD.

TD is nothing like Cali O... At least not the TD and the Cali O I sampled on several occasions...

TD has some really nice flavors and aromas but the high left something to be desired... It was weak, when compared to Cali O and threw nanners sometime between weeks 5 & 7. TD grew more like a sativa with long internodes making golf ball and smaller sized buds.

Cali O, on the other hand, smelled wonderfully of orange peels and it's flavor was very similar. She was potent (could cause some couch lock effects) with nice long legs about 3+ hours for beginner smokers or 2-3 hours for well seasoned smokers. The plant I had for a couple years would literally bleed and accumulate an oily sticky resin down the stem.

I too would love to find another Cali O (pure cutting) for my collection but luck would have otherwise so I purchased some of Chimeras C+. I have yet to germ these seeds so I can't give any pointers concerning them yet.

I hope you find what you are looking for and I'd be willing to bet Homegrown Fantaseeds will have something you will like (an orange everything keeper) within a couple packs of seeds.

I grew an indica pheno of Cali O outdoors last summer. very easy keeper.a little prone to mold but a great orange taste and smell. it needed a good cure before the high was decent though. The beans came from a charity auction off another site. They are S1's. I now have three phenos in flower..an indie, 50/50, and a sativa pheno..The indica has big leaves and is FINISHED in 8 wks. 50/50 is just that..and the sativa is very sativa like and stretches 3-4x..awesome sativa high..I have some lemon Larry going as weel and the original intention was to pollenate the Lemon Larry with some Cali O..or vice versus..if I get a nice LL male I can avoid the reversing etc..If not I'll reverse the sativa pheno of cali O and hit our keeper Lemon Larry with it.
My Sfv would go great with the cali O too...I guess its time to get learning..sorry to carry on..Just love the cali O and again people she needs a good cure for the high to fully evolve, imo.

There was a strain with G13 and Orange Crush in it available on the bay at clearance prices for a long time..i forget who put it out..I want to say either GN03 or nirvana..It was a three way hybrid beginning with G13 x ? x Orange Crush.

How bout a pic StickyStanky..? How long does your pheno take to flower?
