Any suggestions on a good spider mite killer pesticide?

Rabbi

Have a serious mite issue right now and need some suggestions on a good mite killer.

I have some spinosad stuff that works great for thrips but I sprayed my plants a week ago with it and it hasn't even slowed them(mites) down a bit.

Any suggestions?

If u don't breath the same air as ur room,, 'no pest strips' will kill them dead.
Need to turn your fans off if possible.. if I have to use them, I throw them in at night, then zip lock em during lights on.. they do work great, but like many other pesticides, no pest strips are a lil controversial..

It's not bad to use em with light on,, as long as ur exhaust isn't sucking all the vapors away, ul b good.. n I promise u, they work..I would use 2 for a 10x10 room. Hope that helps
Oh, it usually stops them after 2_3 days.. once they are gone I would still use them a few times a week, for a month or so..there's tons of good info about them on ic already,, just use the search
Peace

Yup...Forbid FTW. I mostly use floramite cuz i have a 1l bottle but if i run into resistant mites 10-15 drops per litre of forbid knocks em out every time. I never noticed any phytotoxicity with forbid in the past but with this last batch i've noticed some damage to smaller plants/cuts at above 10 drops/litre dose.

sealed rooms

quarantined work clothing and dressing area + new plant material space

i do find azamax to work really well. for the more natural approach

forbid will def take care of even the most sinister surrey beasts

yeah I hear ya. First time with a mite issue in 12 years but very likely my own fault. After going so long without an issue I started letting my gaurd down. Once and a while I think stuff like this needs to happen to me just to keep me in check lol.

Does the forbid kill them all immediately or do I have respray evry couple weeks for a couple months? Just trying to figure out how much I should order. Must be pretty potent stuff since you can buy it on ebay in 1/4oz sizes.

i'm primarily an od grower. i keep indoor area for clones, seeds, pollen, etc...

i'm always bringing inside od stuff. big no no for indoor growers.

i've had pm several times and spider mites many times.

raid flea killer plus is pyrethrins. mostly regular pyrethrins, little bit man made synthetic pyrethrins. it's aerosol. it has worked for me for over 20 years.

ppl seem to like to knee jerk 'cause of the raid trademark. hell, it works and it's available where i'm at and it's pretty cheap. oh yeah, it's also mostly organic even though it is a raid product.

i never use it with the lights on. let it work it's thang for 1/2 hour and ventilate and dry the plants and area and then lights back on. re-do after 10-14 days for eggs.

i've probably used this product successfully 20+ times w/o fail.

i've killed pm with a totally organic method close to 6-7 times over 20 years also.

never lost my clone mothers, seedstock. never had to shut down to sterilize.

i get trashed pretty much every time i post on this stuff.

bottom line; it works.

Always knocks em out after the first spray for me but i do a second spray 4 days later. The mites will be moving a round for a cpl days after spray but rest assured they arrrre dying.

Does anyone know off the top of their heads how many ml of water to mix per drop of the Forbid 4f to use? A little impaired right now and having trouble doing the math lol.

Damn, that must suck!
Only time I had them, I brought them in from clones obtained from someone else. NEVER AGAIN!!!:ying:

they are heat seekers man

love the rooms in spring and fall.

they are useless though. just the smell of azamax kills em and their eggs lol they get into a room or 2 here and there no biggie
