Right now the vert bloom room is consuming 10-15ppm every 24 hours. Thats 6 plants in about 75 total gallons. I have it hooked up to my RO filter via float valve so the water level never drops and therefore I dont really know how much water is being consumed.

Strangely enough my pH always drops in the vert room (about .1 every 48hrs) all though the ec is also dropping. I believe that is due to the RO/DI water being constantly added as the plants feed.

I also notice that the plants feed while lights out. I check the EC during the day hours and it stays the same for the most part...but when I check it just 12 hours later right before lights on....it is always lower. Interesting none the less.....

Day night temps differ by about 10 degrees. usually abour 60 F during lights out and 70-72 with lights on. Water temp is at a steady 64-65 degrees using a 300watt aquarium tank heater during lights out. Water temps only climb about 2 degrees when the lights fire up. That will all change in the summer which is when I get to try out my DIY water chiller. yayyy

I cant wait to see your setup V. You did it all right and 2k had to get you a hell of electric job done right. Good work man, someday I would love to be in your position as far as room setup goes.

Keep me posted man and stay safe homie.

I been busy and have changed a lot around. For starters, the vert area got a new room built around it and new containers.
I decided to use the same 7 gallon rubbermaid trash can I am using in the other tent. Less volume of water, mo dissolved o2 and under current.

This other tent is looking good with nice colas forming. Once these pricks finish up this 400w will be going back into the vert area. Ill either get another 400w or use the LEDs again for veg. Unsure still.

And the pre veg area is truckin' right along and lookin good also

And the lil aero setup. I have super cropped all the main shoots on this girl a week back and trimmed here up a good sum.

I haven't ever posted up in your thread, but i enjoy visiting here very much benny!
There is some great info in here and i've learned a few things here myself.
got a high flow RDWC kinda similar to you but i'm using waterfarms that i had w/ their stock recirc kit.
Just want to say thanks, theres a always a little stumbling while learning, but rising past problems with a sound solution is so rewarding IMO.

The vert room is really kicking into high gear now it appears. I raised the EC 1.1/550ppm yesterday and they consumed 60ppm in 24hrs.....my highest consumption yet over a 24hr period.

These girls are 4 week in today with 4-5 to go depending

The room I built around the plants allowed me to get the plants much closer to the bulbs and the colas which are forming are showing the benefits of it.

The room itself was simply. I wanted a tent but the tents I was looking at were $650+. I said screw it and bought a good numbers of 2x2s and built a 8'x5'x6.5' room. I then used foam insulation bored to create the walls which are all secured with Velcro. Really accessible and cost around $100 to build..and since the frame is 2x2s, the ceiling can hold a much greater amount of weight oppose to a tent.

The preveg is killin it in the ebb n flow tray. All these plants are under a 100w HGL led.

The lil areo plant is looking good

And I dont know if I ever shown the ladies responsible for this all.

These moms are over 3 years old. I just root pruned and leveled the canopy on all three. Growth will be back all fresh in about 7-10days....and then they will grow like weeds again...

And the second bloom area is looking good though these plants arent feeding nearly as aggressive as the vert room. @ wk 6 with probably 2 wks of feeding left and 1 wk flush....depending

lol what a fuckin problem right?! I'm realizing it is not as easy as it was when I was younger trying to get rid of this stuff. I need to form some contacts and connects. Any suggestions out there?

Just read all 25 pages so far. Looks good!
I started diy rdwc over 2 years ago and can't look back even through the learning curve
Never lost a crop! I almost did one time after putting some kelp in my ultra humidifier. Was gonna yank em but got in a hurry and left town for 10 days thinking I was gonna come back to dead plants.....it was a jungle in there!!! They recouped and came back 2x stronger.

I found the same company that makes those 27 gal blk and yellow totes also make em in 15gal
I'm setting up a new system now. Gonna try 10" netpots this time with the 15gal instead of 8gal/8" pots

Q: what is your spacing from bulb to plant center?
I mocked up 4 totes in a square and seems they almost have to touch to get that 20-24" spacing

Hey thanks for stopping by man. That is a load of reading...lol 25 pages and so many of my learning mistakes...lol. Good stuff man.

Thats the reason I dropped the 28g totes, I wanted my plants closer to the bulbs. I did have them touching at all corners in order to get the distance I wanted. You almost need to use a 1000w bulb to get the job done right.

Now with the small trash cans the plants are 11" at the closest and about 18" at the furthest.

looking good BW...how do you find the LEds...thinking of changing over to them
LEDs are pretty efficient - what's really neat about them is they can last very long w/o having to change bulbs... I might use them myself along with MH & HPS bulbs - especially MH for veg (MH not as efficient as HPS - MH). Measure with a lumen and/or PAR light meter.

Watch out for LED lumens/watt claims (to over 160 lumens/watt) as much of that is measured by 3rd party testing labs. But the proof is in the pudding if you can measure PAR w/a light meter. LED focuses on particular parts of light spectrum. ;)

I been busy as hell and plus my camera is at my girls house. I keep on forgetting it.

Anyway, the vert room is coming down at the end of this month. Still not the jaw dropping results like seen with other rdwc system but for sure improving.

I am speculating 1 pound which is terrible for 2 -600w HPS. I jacked shit up when I started to increase PPM over 1 ec. This next round I wont go over 450ppm at the highest. If my yield isnt big then, im afraid I may go back to organic soil.

If that happens well then it means I have failed at hydro. We shall see. At least I gave it a good 8 months. At the end of the day, I gotta do what Im best at, and those 8 months are a whole lot of monies lost.

The plants do look good though but the buds dont look like the maximized their size. I am also droppig maxibloom and switching over to the floraseries for the next loaded in 6 at the end of this month.

I read so many people sayng their plants are consuming so much and can handle 1ec plus. I basically thought my plants could handle 1.1-1.3 ec but I guess not. The bud development was capped it would appear. That plants never really shown signs of over feeding though which is weird and still look real good. Im wondering why they didnt pack on weight? The 28th will mark wk 8 but maybe Ill let them go to 9 wks. I just dont think much weight is added during that last week.

I should have at least 2 lbs with 2- 600w and even that is on the low side.
