I think the key to a LP's success will be genetics, large scale grow outs, and working hand in hand with universities.{ubc etc etc}. Let face it this is just not a canadian issue it is a world issue and for some reason the world thinks canada has the sticky icky when it comes to med cannabis lol. The thing will be getting the price/quality to a place where it will level the playing field, can it be done? As we speak countries near the equator with big sun will become the go to spots for production. Full sun no rain lots a water forget about it////

Absolutely, I agree...Soon as the poor equator countries clue in on this world wide trend of legalized Medical MJ. They will legislate Cannabis growing laws in for there agriculture with exporting in mind. Then the farmers will start producing high grade Medical Cannabis with our own genetics(possibly with an LP partnership of some kind). Once this happens LP's can and will import to Canada and export to the world with very few of them growing anything. It will be cheaper to buy imported than to grow your own.

Say good-bye to all those promised jobs generated by the new Medical Cannabis industry in Canada.

Peace...B

I hope if anything does come of the trial that it were to allow for future patients or those who couldn't previously be "signed on" to the program to have the option to grow. Whether they couldn't find a Dr to sign their forms or afford to pay the associated fees for a signature.

If the trial is won I see no reason why they shouldn't have the same right any previous patients were offered simply because they got sick at the "wrong time" and get stuck having to pay the high LP prices to prop up the commercial system. As we all know it's cheaper to grow your own. Give patients the option of growing their own and for those who cannot for whatever reason it may be, they have the LP option.(gotta work on those prices though)

Just my .02 for what I hope the future holds for patients after the trial is done and over with. Keep it Frosty

This could all end up a huge clusterfuck with HC getting sued by these LP's with big monies on the line. Interesting times!

Government should just accept Marijuana is hear to stay and have the MMAR and MMPR run concurrently with each other. Those that want to grow join the MMAR, those that don't want to grow join the MMPR. With both programs running at the same time, it will help control the prices with the LP's, in the sense that, if the prices don't become reasonable patients just switch programs and grow instead of buy. Also would stop the costly Constitutional challenge, because no ones rights are being violated...Win Win for all involved.

just tweeted by kirk tousaw...

"Crown being pressed by Judge. Refuses to agree Allard #injunction applies beyond Allard plaintiffs. Says debate ongoing at “highest” levels."

I'd imagine the crown is trying to make sure the case is only valid for the ones who brought the the case forward. Must have been some pressure from the LP's.

Really funny once again the gov totally clueless on any customer/citizen service relations. They could solve this by tomorrow once and for all with both personal and MMPR running along side but I think that would be too much ammo for legalization.

Wow Health Canada must be desperate if they only want the injunction to apply to like 4 people. All those promised profits to LPs and tax revenue gone. Wish they'd just pull their head out their ass and realize nobody wants their shitty MMPR program and stop wasting all our tax dollars.

Is this where Conroy tells everybody that he needs to have separate trials for individual patients that want to continue growing?

The long con?

Just got off the phone with the lawyer, and he said that basically our leaders, health minister, justice minister where trying to screw the injunction that was granted friday. Kinda crazy if you think about it. I thought they worked for us lol. They had no grounds to do it but they were still trying. The next step will be the 150 grams limit. Some folks with a high dosage would not even be able to travel with those rules in place.onward we roll! thanks to kirk and conroy for fighting for us!
