Not to much going on...

Killed the last large male plant (#5) But left its clone alive.

Trimmed up the bottom of it. Going to make a pollen catcher of some type and a fix it somehow. ...just need to find a place to put it so it doesn't seed everything...

My camera's pretty kick ass...it's me that sucks using it...so bare with me.

So for no other reason then I could...I took some random clones before I put them into flowering. I used a small container n' peat pucks.
Had to throw out the males...and was left with this...

So now I have to get off my ass n' do some cab building to make everything more efficient.

Oh yeah...whole reason I did this update in the first place.

First watering today of FloraNova bloom. 3ml/2L ph, not a clue, ppm, haven't the faintest.

Update time.

I did what I thought was a pretty good job of light proofing my cab...but then I got high...

I got these pads on sale at the Walmart a few weeks ago...'cuz I'm old...and sit-ups make my ass numb and my back sore on my floor. I only needed two...so I butchered the other two up. Going to seal up the inside barrier with black silicone, even though I used crazy glue to hold them in place. (over-kill...under rated...yadda yadda) Gonna find some strapping n' make handles to pull the fuckers out though...getting annoying using my knife.

Ahh the clone of my beloved plant #8....

As you've seen I'm pressed for space...and have a few other projects I wanna get to work on...so this new sleek (lol) container will be where I starve, light deprive, train my new mom.

Been five days since the last feed, had to sneak 'em water as they were droopy as fuck 2 days ago. ...said fuck it. Fed em at full strength (3.75ml/L) with the FloraNova. Still no idea about the ph or actual ppm. I can use a measuring spoon and thats good enuff for me...so it's good enuff for them.

Scroll back up to the first pic, top left. I mean its all I had...but they're four years old and read 7.0 If I check my tap water it says 7, piss on it it says 7, check the water in the sink after dishes it says 7...those things are garbage...well maybe they aren't...they sure to fuck aren't made for what I want them for...k babbling...

Went in to do that water feed the other day and this sonsabitch was getting crispy on the top...so I cut off his head n' broke his neck. And to spite me the lil' fucker it still reaching for the lights...

I know it's just sort of a cosmetic thing, but that purple green striped stalk is cool. People pay big $$ for silk ties with that look.

I used to play by the rules/laws. Worked my ass off to get myself in the position I wanted to be in until I got "busted". Just wanted to grow myself a nice stash. Always have smoke on hand.

Well I went to court, won my case. Spent all my savings to do it.

I can't very well start working 18 hour days again. I can't start up a business, make it flourish, then turn around and sell it for a good profit again. I'm fucked.

I do however have connects in mining/logging towns that think $3000 for a lbs of Kush is a great deal...

So I have a plan to get my fucking money back...and this...well this is just the prelude to that event.

Hell...I'd pay good money for that tie...would go great with a suit of mine...

I want to cut out the middle wall...get rid of the veg area...play in there with HID...how about sealing it? I've an AC unit I could put where the exhaust fan and filter is...could try some aquaponics...could....could...fuck. 'our work is never done'

#5 male and #8 female bumped naughty bits on her lower branches...we'll see if anything comes of it.

I'm going to be dunk/submersion feeding from now on. Watering small containers sucks.

I hear that! I gave up on individual small containers because of that. I decided that I would rather do larger beds with multiple small plants sharing the soil instead of individual small containers. Personally, I didn't find submersion watering to be any less of a pain in the ass than watering from above, but I hope it works out for you.

Fully agree hush. All it really does is buy me another day before watering. I'm thinking a bed type system for my next run. I've got an idea for a automated watering system. Kinda depends if I go with the new design or not....

Timers, pumps n' whatnot would go under the filter...kinda over kill...on everything.

12"x34" gives me 408" Divided by 144 gives me 2.83 sqft....

16 bulbs at 23w a piece...368w....

368w divided by 2.83 sftf...is 130w per sqft, or ridiculous.

Idk if the fan positioned like that will extract all the heat from the side with most of the lights. You might be able to do it with a fan blowing across the length of the cab. I did 250+watts of cfl and my key to success with the heat was the outtake hole directly in the center of the cab above the lights. I did try it the way you are suggesting once though and temps were around 86 at the time I thought it was too hot and dismantled the cab. Now though I would be like fuck yeah. Try it see what happens and if it doesn't work just cuss at yourself while you take it all down.

HAHAHA...yeah ...been there done that. Ok I'm gonna leave it the way it is.

Wasn't gonna do an update, but this is day 30 and their only going till day 60ish except for #8, which will go the full run for several reasons.

Now due to my general laziness, and not getting shit done...I didn't get motivated to finish my light proofing on the cab until last night. (ok it was light proof...but I wanted over kill) So with foam strips and crazy glue in hand I set off to finish up.

Tried to open the cab at lights on and realized I must have spilled some glue and glued the foam pad in place. Not the case. The negative pressure was so great due to the new seal on the door it had to be pried open.

So this led to needing more intake instead of it just sucking a lil' bit of air from underneath the right side support...

Knowing I'd suck sawdust all over the damn place when I turned on the fan and sealed it up I installed an intake filter.

I figured since I needed to water the plants anyways...I'd just stick the plug in the tub and slowly fill while drilling holes...came back to floating upside down plants....dammit.

Anyways...here's everyone back in the cab drying off.

With the foam/light/air lock in place...

And all closed up.

really nice, buddy looks like you got the cab dialed in.
was it the need of automatic watering that made you consider reconstruction?

imo you can easily install watering system in your setup as is:

a) place a tank/res on top of the cab by the aquarium and feed from there.
it would appear as part of the aquarium system and should not draw any attention.

b) place a tank/res in the seedling chamber. to me it looks like there is just enough space for say 10L tank? this is all you need (+ small aquarium pump and tubing) to supply water/nutes without frequent need of topping up the res.


i personally use 10L res and it is enough to top it up once a week or even less so. last year i even left it for 12 days and the plants were fine. of course i needed to reduce the frequency of waterings then but after 12 days the plants looked very well and so i actually left it this way.
i also use a Maxi Jet pump, have 2 of those (250L/hour and 750). timer turns them on for only a few minutes daily which is enough to supply all the water/nutes required
