I wanted to wait until you were done before I posted.

Awesome cab. Great idea.

Nice upgrading you've been doing along the way. Really love your idea for raising lowering the grow platform.

ona works, but it does have a strong dryer sheet smell. More of a hospital smell than air freshener. Get a carbon filter if you are worried about the smell.

Hi Edhorin, in which way is your grow space automatized? I mean, what it does? Moves lamps, speeds up/down fans? I was thinking about doing a RaspPi powered grow box, but I felt it was overkill since it would be used just for changing light schedule once and maybe fans' speed sometimes...
An interesting feature could be moving bulbs up and down basing on temperatures, time and plant's height, but it would take so much time and engineering that I'll just do it manually :p

ONA works, it has a subtle scent which can be annoying (although it is 100% natural) but it really covers (/eliminates) smells, just keep it really close to the exhaust air flow so it catches every molecule.

P.S. If you have time I'd really appreciate a comment on my Micro Grow, we've a similar style so we could share some knowledge ;)

I had to use google translate i thinks tomorrow we can talk ebout yuour idea but i say you that Raspberry PI isnt enough for automation, you have only 8bit gpio and can change just one bit at a time, then if you want to see umidity with sensor or temperature you cannot follow everything. I suggest you to use Arduino + Raspebrry.
Arduino Can follow and pilot everything Digital and analog input and output.
Arduino wired with raspberry pi trowh usb serial communication.
In Raspberry you can pilot the arduino :D Just my 2 cent :D
Looking good.... love the speaker idea
OHH so many thanks but i am working on 3.0 model of mp3 box :D

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]

which Ona is more effective?
what do you recommend?
That Arm is only configurated to drive the lamp and the fan, because when i made that box i finished my budget. on the next box i implement arduino with a simple usb interface or a wifi program with my android (but this is only my dream, because i have a limited budget).

The scent is up to you, I only used Apple Crumble and the standard blue one, both gel and wax.
The wax can be smeared almost everywhere when the gel should be placed in a dish or tray... The first gets dry quicker, the latter lasts longer. I usually keep a bit of gel in a dish somewhere in the middle of the room and an another in a tray attached to the exhaust fan. You should be OK changing it every three to four days using gel, max two using wax.

Cool, i also thought about it last night, a remote controlled robotic grow room. Could be the future of stealthy grows!!! I mean, you're somewhere living your everyday life and your plants keep going by themselves in a remote place, you just need to check if everything is fine five minutes a day and adjust something with a few taps if needed!!! (OK I'm dreaming and high too)

Well' I wasn't aware of those CCD cameras, cool stuff!
(I know it's doable, almost everything is doable when talking about tech, but usually it requires large amounts of both money and time :/)
And thanks for the link! I'll follow that project!
