4.5lbs possible with 2400 watts?

Well the title says it all. I am getting a new location and I want to run 4 - 600w hps ballasts using vert bare bulbs.

It will run an 8 site RDWC system in a 4'x8' tent. Veg time could be a maximum of 8 wks in a separate veg tent but I assume I will only need 5-6 weeks.

lil MS paintshop photo attached below showing how I want to setup the lighting and plant arrangements.

Running an 8-9wk cycle strain, do you think 4.5lbs could be relatively achievable? Thats roughly .83g / watt.

Feel free to give your opinion please. Looking for ideas. The only thing I see being a problem is each plant will need to yield 9oz each. I dont know if the plants can get large enough without choking one another out in a 4'x8' tent to yield 9oz each. What do you think?

Very possible,
Good yieldin strain will help.
I pull a p a light off my 600s with fire og qith no scrog and just regular canopy.
You should be able to do better with a vert setup.
Im actually hoping for 3 pounds off the same amount of wattage but im adding co2 and light movers and switching to gg4 which is supposed to yield very heavy.

Co2.... as said above.
I'm in the last few weeks of 12/12 with my 1st run using it and its definitely upping yield.

9oz per plant indoors under 600watt lights is from my knowledge not obtainable. I don't even think you can achieve 9oz under 1000w lights. As most here already know that you can expect to harvest between 1 and 1.5 lbs per 1000w and the 1.5 is only obtainable thru high yielding strains with expert care. Most of us here usually achieve the 1lb per 1000 so when looking at that if you were growing 8 plants that would be about 2oz per plant. sorry for the bad news but the truth is the truth!

Keep an Growing cause it makes you happy!

I've pulled 2 lbs/1000 watts (4 plants) with a cash cropper in a sealed, AC'd, CO2'd and dehumidified room.
If you can hit on all those points (or whatever means to keep the environment in the "sweet spot") then YES it's doable.

3 in a row now...And only with my cash cropper.
*EDIT* And another time with four Waterfarms and a diff strain. :)

i feel the same as redbuddz as a 1lb to 1.5 lb per light is a more realistic figure. if you dont have a real co2 set up adding some co2 bags would help alot. they are pretty cheap around here $30

I'm not sure that Co2 actually helps with final weight. To my knowledge Co2 is primarily used to help Accelerate growth by adding excess levels of Co2 but is also used when poor air exchange is an issue and that helps provide for a healthier plant.

Ya I don't know about that go look at Unc fishstick in the glue thread. He did one gorilla glue under a 1k in a 45g smartie and almost hit 2 lbs with no gas. I have yielded a solid 7 ounces off one plant in a 5 gallon grow bag under a 1k with just over a month veg.

Coco growers get some enormous yields because u can run smaller pots and pack more plants in your area. But people running vert getting crazy yields compared to hanging lights above the plants.

Also IMO that if you have more than one light hitting the 1.5 lbs a light should be pretty easy no matter what strains you run.

There are also people reporting hitting 2lbs a light with the glue. These people are running multiple lights though. I think you could hit 2 with a single 1k if u veg for a long time and have a high yielding strain and a big ass smart pot or you are doing a coco grow. Coco plants yield heavy out of smaller pots.

Ass, that sure is a nice looking plant but I'm skeptical of your 8oz claims. That plant appears to be about 4' tall? I'm guessing she will yield between 4-6 at the most

It all comes down to Grams per watt. I suppose I could veg my plants for 10 weeks and grow 12foot plants that would yield 10oz per plant! the grams per watt would be thru the roof for those plants but how much extra time would it take to grow that 12' plant? some times gram per watt can be misleading.

The strain is Ortega X Og Kush from Kyrptonite seeds.
Sorry you don't believe me Redbuddz, what can i say? In the pic the plant was only 40 days old or so...
Been doing this a long time and have spent a lot of $$$ to get my environment perfect.

Here's what a 6z plant in my room looks like...
