I got this problem when there was a light leak into rez, I had some snot slime build up, I ended up adding sm90 to the mix as well and it did not mix with roots excelurator it made some other wield culture grow on anything organic that fell in rez. I have took down system and cleaned parts, then I removed all roots from baskets with high pressure hot water. I then soaked each basket in h202 water for a short time and returned them to system and ran only ph'd water and roots excelurator for a day, then next day I got some aquashield and added that too, the next day I put 1/2 strength base nutes. I use RE @ .55ml/G and AS @ 5ml/G right now. so its been 4 days still coming back slow and I would like to brew one of these teas. also I have shutoff my air stones because RE likes low oxygen water I have read and aggressive oxygenation even kills its bennies, however im not even sure what bennies those are and if they will mix well with dwc tea because RE bottle says it has anaerobic bacteria in it. or would you make tea and use RE afterwards direct into rez? or would I find a better suited product for my top feed dwc type s ystem? and for the tea I already have aquashield and carb load, so I should get zho? and EW castings or ancient, and will this work like its in dwc?
temp 68-72, ph 5.5+, fixed light leak. this time has not been started out well, my albums have all pics from this so far part 2 is before cleaning and part 3 album is from tonight. the slime took on this fast in about 3-4 days and smelled bad, now RE has its smelling like fresh soil at least that's true.
