super males in dna limited krypt crosses!!!!

Get them while u can. If u need a great male for breeding, the krypt crosses r putting out some killer stinky males. Kryptonite seeds said themselves the line males used were amazing for breeding males. Produced some killer strains. U can google it or go to kryptonites forum.

Im talking dna limited seeds. Crossed using the krypt og. Males r supposedly super males in the wotld of breeding. Not my words. Although I have a male that is really stank n dank.

Weird... cause a cross with a female and a 'supermale' results in 100% male offspring and has nothing to do with 'stank n dank'.
Just that folks aren't disappointed when they get no females from those seeds and then only normal males from its offspring (case it really is a supermale like YY chromosome and not a marketing 'super duper male').
If they really have supermale seeds with a good germination rate, then they did a freaky but excellent job IME. Wonder who's gonna need such seeds anyway... :D

Weird u think the seeds r all male. All good, they r regular so u get males. :)

Could b a new thing. Male only seeds.

a cross between a female and a male (XY) will produce equal amount of m f offspring, but a homozygous male or “supermale” (YY) crosses to a female will produce all XY male offspring offspring
Supermale plants are usually obtained from a female flower on a XY male plant
Supermales are usually low in vigor and are not suitable for cultivation but are valuable for breeding other species

:yeahthats
Which is especially true for supermale seed (seeds from a selfed supermale).
That's why I 'crashed the thread'...

I hear ya sourpuss. The males that come from these seed packs are really nice and good for breeding. I take it the male(s) you have stinks, and have good structure. I've read the post your talking about and I understand what your saying. I would be just as excited as you are if I had those beans and found an awesome male. Hope you can make some killer crosses and show us the magic those males hold. I have a stinky strawberry dogshit male that I made some beans with. Growing some of them out now. There is no better feeling than seeing a plant with awesome nugs that you made yourself.......priceless.

Seems that if you crossed a YY male (supermale?) to an XX (female) that all would be male, with one X and one Y chromosome in each.

Is a super-male genetically YY?

Gosh, why would a breeder say his males were "super males"?

$$$$$$$$$$ :p

I'm not saying they aren't great, but it's not unusual for people to make claims about genetics they have an interest in selling.

Bingo, 1'000 points! The candidate just won a washing machine!!
Besides, a male (cannabis and men) is always XY but the one X and the one Y chromosome are together, not one in each ... (whatever each you meant) :D . That's why the YY are commonly called 'supermales' and not because they are super male/masculine (like two beards and 4 nuts ROFL).

thanks for the clarification. i had been toying with the idea of selfing a male, and seemed like you'd get half normal males (XY/YX), 1/4 super males (YY) with the remaining female. i just wasn't sure if they plant would produce YY or for some reason abort.

Can't remember anymore where I read it but the YY won't be at 25% due to some sort of viability issue of the gametes, early development stage of the seeds or something like that... So there will be a bit more females and normal males than expected. Anyway, the supermales you get should be healthy.
Unfortunately I don't know how to distinguish males from supermales apart from test-crossing. You may consider to pollinate a female or do a second selfing. The latter will be easier/faster and result in S2 which you could directly use for breeding if you want something maybe a bit inbred (slight inbreeding depression possible) but also more stable (homozygous); the inbreeding depression will be lost once outcrossed to a non-related female.
Wasn't it Chimera who used/uses supermales? Maybe ask him for advice!
