last time health Canada sent out letters to us was in November and it took until February until I received it via our amazing postal system.

How about my buddy who is out of country until June?

Can we sell our product to a LP and buy it back at cost?

I was thinking about this last night, I felt bad that I am not licensed yet so I could do that. Seems like a no brainer for an LP.

I just saw this and rushed here to post it. Damn, someone beat me to it. HILARIOUS!!! I haven't grown in a long time and my DG is closing shop because he can't risk the legal battle. But I still have a couple lbs in storage. I want to snap a picture of myself giving them the middle finger, surrounded by glorious buds. Maybe a friend who's still growing might let me take a picture amid tons of humongous, beautiful, flowering plants to make it look REALLY insulting.

I don't grow in my home so I wouldn't give two shits if they came and knocked. I'd invite the RCMP over for tea. It's a shame that Health Canada thinks they can sic the RCMP on people like rabid dogs. I really try to like those guys and know a few who also feel really town with bullshit laws like these. They're going to make the RCMP bigger pariahs. Health Canada, what a fucking joke!

Not sure what they were trying to accomplish with all this. People don't take kindly to threats, especially when those being threatened are the sick, disabled and dying. Trying to force patients into a new program with fascist tactics will more than likely just spurn further rebellion. First our rights are being taken away, now we are being threatened. Health Canada and the Harper regime can both burn in hell. They are setting this country back instead of moving it forward. Hopefully Conroy and Turmel get favorable decisions and we can carry on as usual until King Harper is dethroned.

Man this amendment looks like something straight out of some gov counter intelligence/propaganda dep. Its written to send FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) Or Chilling Effect into the PL holders.

What we are seeing is the gov working on behalf or commercial entities so they can survive. Obviously the gov is seeing HUGE resistance to the new system from PL holders, cities and even the RCMP.

Best thing would be civil disobedience and having 1000's of people across Canada phone in the police on the same day and say Im still growing come and check it out. Imagine 1000's of people getting bused and flooding the courts. That would be something.

Also if we all send in a letter that is a shit load of work they have to process. LOL imagine 40K 6"x6" boxes arriving at HC all sealed right the fuck up and hard to open. Make sure you request a signature.

It's obvious that they're trying to roll back the clock on legalization in Canada while maintaining a facade of allowing MMJ.

Sadly, they've put much the same twist on it in WA. Legalization isn't legalization until you can grow your own.

thanks ortsa, perhaps it's time for yet another class action lawsuit. I'm going to see if a lawyer can make a similar document and mail it in minus the fine print allowing them to disclose information. If I get a knock on the door it will be law suit time, I could use the money

If participants do not comply with the requirement to notify Health Canada, the Department will notify law enforcement. The Department will also continue to cooperate with police and provide information needed to protect public safety, as appropriate.

What they are saying is if you don't send in that letter you are acknowledging that you are sill growing or in possession of an illegal substance. Since the program is over and your license to do those things is void they are obligated to tell the authorities of your possible illegal activities.

I'm 100% sure this is a counter attack on the municipalities and some of the RCMP/Police forces that stated small medical growers who grow after April 1st are not a priority.

Also there seems to be a back lash brewing against the LP's from everyone who uses cannabis so they need to try and force the consumers towards the LP's.

I would like to see if a lawyer can change the wording to say any sharing of information outside of health Canada is not authorised. I have no intention of being put on some rcmp naughty list because of what I did legally in the past. just a few months ago they announced they would not be sharing this information. We should all be holding them to their word. We've all been fucked enough. I'm saving my old mmar papers and framing them to remind me of what a shitty government we have, and what oppression looks like. This document would satisfy their need to know we are no longer growing well not authorising them to share information without being sued. I wonder how they would accept that.

Hey I agree but seems their lawyers agree that this will work and get them out of the predicament of not being able to disclose the info with out a warrant.

They are saying is this form here, if you don't send it in you acknowledge you are still growing or in possession of an illegal substance. Since you acknowledge this they are bound to give out your info and report a possible illegal activity. Seems like slick and sleazy way out and spread FUD and fear into people who want to keep growing

All this does is create backlash against the LP's which is pretty funny in itself.

talked to a family member who is a lawyer but not in canada. He says it is very possible to revise the form and send it in. I will look more into it in the coming week with a lawyer up here. The form also says even if you do sign it you give permission for them to share info. That is the part I take offence to, and that needs to be re written. Basically your damned if you sign it and damned if you don't. Ive called a few LP's to ask questions and the people on the phone don't know there ass from a hole in the ground. Peace naturals claimed they grow organically but aren't certified when I phoned. I asked what they use for ferts, and the women said chemicals........ seems they have no idea what they are doing. The lawyer I talked to said that as long as the new form contained all the info they requested, and the only changes made where in regards to privacy they would not be able to share the information, but they may be dicks and mail the form back. bottom line is they would know you stopped growing but would not be allowed to share info. just send registered mail so you get proof they received it. Then if you get a knock on the door sue them.
