Hi All
my friend has had 2 plants die the same way a week apart.
i don't have anywhere near the info to fill out the form right now so here are basics.
healthy looking plant recently moved to 5gal DWC (along with 10 others, various genetics)
had just started to "take off" after move
plant just seems to stop taking fluid, wilts and dies
ph was a little high at 6.5
good air flow
other plants looking great (this is not a RDWC so separate buckets)
using GH 3part nutes with CAL MAG
started from clone
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

Maybe send that specifically to DWC forum or Cannabis Infirmary.
Plant looks sad. Sigh.

have you tried to foliar feed to help keep it alive until you figure out what the particular problem is?

^^^^^^^^Yeah, that.
Treat with Botanicaire's Aquashield, and airstones in your rez to bubble more oxygen into the water. Anaerobic bacteria that cause root rot do not like oxygen. Don't waste your time using hydrogen peroxide.
You can see the root rot if you pull a plant and examine roots. They will be turning brown, and smell nasty. Aquashield will fix it. You should see new white roots starting to grow after treatment. Brown roots won't turn white, but new roots will be white.

2 Tbl/gal of 3% Peroxide is not a waste of time. I would water/feed with it 4 times, but wait till the plant and pot have gotten significantly lighter in weight between waterings.

Then re-inoculate with AquaShield, Great White or similar product. -granger

I ran buckets in the summer without a chiller and had some root rot problems...never that bad though...they look like they are getting nothing from down below......high temps are the culprit probably...i would take some snips and put em in water for a cpl days to save them...the leaves should inflate back to normal...then root them...don't think they will recover, pretty sure the bottom is dead...dj

H2O2 lasts only 24 hours in the system, also kills beneficial bacteria, and just will not "cure" a case of root rot, or pythium, but Aquashield will. You will see an improvement in 24 hours as new white roots begin to form. Do a little "Googling", and read about it. People who use it for root rot are amazed at how well it works.
There is a thread here about it:

A better article I thought was found at another link, including pictures:

If that link doesn't post, just do this Google search, and check the third link down:
