Legal to possess 5 grams of weed in Mexico?

I've read a few stories that state that iit is legal to possess up to 5 grams of weed in Mexico. Anyone know if it's ok to bring it from CA to MX?

The SJC website states that the TSA is concerned with safety and security and they basically don't care if you have a small amount of weed. Tried it out last week on a trip to Hawaii w about an eighth

Up to 5g is legal, but you may still get pressured for bribes. Don't give in, it's legal, and if it's legal on both sides, you're good

If you're Spanish-speaking or have Spanish-speaking friends, there is some pretty good bud down there, but you have to find it. Lots of garbage too (like most of the stuff that makes it across the border)!

On the way down one never gets checked. So it is not a bad plan. The herb in Mex is not horrible, though.. It can be, but there is some decent bud. For an extended trip, I'd bring a clean set of bubble bags, and find a good source for Hielo.

When I was down there last year I bought a bag of pretty good weed that was seeded and found a keeper Oaxacan

Just curious about bringing some Tahoe or Goji to share w the guys who run the surf camp I'm staying at and maybe something to knock me out at night.

Maybe you could focus your efforts on sneaking some good sativa seeds back out of mexico...

There would be more potential payoff for the amount of risk involved, and less of a chance for the dogs to smell anything

wouldnt take the chance. spent a memorl week in juarez jail once for driving over the border. not pot, but seeds n stems in back seat. it wuz enough to spend 8 dayz in hotel juarez. never agin.

On the other hand I know someone who brings their glass blasting tube down and goes crazy as they have a mex friend who supplies them with ok herb....good for blasting at least.

Clean it(tube) up nice before flying back.....leave any extra bho and bud in mexico

As related by a friendly acquaintance who lives there, although the gun laws are strict, the common practice is - most homes have a Kalishnikov or similar cheap-gun-that-works-good.

Tijuana is moving into the digital age, and that is inextricably inter-twined with Ganja use, as in Silicon Valley. (I'm seeing a parallel with gun use, illegal but still widely owned.)


I think overall Mexico now is definitely a place where one needs to be discreet. e.g. don't exhale over the fence, you don't want the neighbor to know you're smoking.

Whereas ... I was recently at Motel 6 in Humboldt.

DAMN ! smelled the FINEST smoke while walking by one of the rooms, a woman in their with her kid doing a wake-and-bake.

In Humboldt that's OK. In Mexico, not wise.

Decriminalized not legalized, for mexicanos NOT bordercrossing gringos! Crossing borders with herb is never a good idea. Buying 5 grams in Mexico should be easy and relatively inexpensive. Discretion is always a must. When traveling by bus, car, or plane DO NOT CARRY.

With Mex, ya never know what will happen. But things are
usually chill. Been down there at least 8x. I have been stared
down by an informal soldier in street clothes, carrying an auto rifle, after a joint.

I traveled everywhere in Sonora and never had a problem while down there
One time I brought a blunt back and got my truck searched at border...dog jumped in truck and never smelled it! Thank you grape zig zags


Definitely made some friends who never had sensimilla , especially top shelf hydro
But lots of ex pats that have great buds too.
I always found more gringos to smoke with cuz the locals are all about coke and buchanans. Lol

TRaveling the highways you can be searched by soldiers or police at roadblocks in many areas. Not worth the the risk.
