That's good you keep your plate clean so-to-speak... I shat where I ate one year and will never do it again. I keep finding these golden spots but theyre an hour away, I can't decide if it's worth the long drive back home at the end of the season :/[/quote]

It is definetly worth it to make an hour drive at the end of the season. You would need a couple people you could trust. Even if you don't wan them knowing exactly where the spot is. Have them wait at a pre determined location like 5-10 miles from the grow. Then have one car go in front of ya a mile or two to look for road blocks or cops sitting hiding waiting for speeders. Then have a car tail you, and your golden. This only works if you have 2 people you can trust with what your doing. These type of people are hard to comeby, and why I am lucky and grateful to have a couple people like that in my life. Without them the chance would be much greater I take and much more stressful.
However a sack of herb and a lot of gratitude can go along way. I also make agreements reguarding my success. If everything goes as planned I give my "helper's" at least a qp a piece. My landowner friend get's $1000, and everyone is happy. This last year I grew right around 25 pounds. I gave $1000 to the landowner, and gave away about 2 pounds maybe even a little more. By doing this I got to keep all my harvest, and I'm able to use the spot again. It's all about not being greedy, give and ye shall receive.

Wise words my friend. Gratitude and love is what makes this world go round (corny but true). I wouldn't hesitate to reimburse my helpers, the hardest part is convincing them that there will be a nice harvest because I don't tell anyone what I do typically.

I did run into an old friend from highschool however this month, and we've been chilling again. He's trust worthy as they get, and has a 4 wheeler to boot. So I ran some ideas past him this week and he seems to be on board.

He wants to help me bring soil out to each spot but I may just have him help me bring supplies to drop-sites instead of showing him where the grows are. I don't think he would ever rip, but if they were ripped I def wouldn't wanna lose a friend over it since I'd never know if it were him or not. I might just explain what I just said word for word to him so he doesn't take it the wrong way, have a feeling he may though lol

Thanks for the tips on transporting, that eased my mind a little :tiphat:

He'll probably come back as a grower in the next life and learn his lesson

I hear you brother,.........With the cost of fuel, and living in general, It all adds up.....You have to look at what you could potentially yield verses cost of crop in total.....That's Fuel to run
around......cost of fertiliser, pesticides......Etc. So if you can potentially harvest a few pounds, for an hours drive.....I would say, its worth it...:)

Oh I don't agree with you for a second JV. I should've been more specific though, I'm worried about the odor trailing my car for long periods at a time especially if I have a good season. An hr vs. 30 mins is half the chance in my eyes of getting caught... maybe I need to think about my transport game a little more.

Hey Team Microbe...... Yeah man I understand....When I first read your post I chimed in straight off the bat.....And got it wrong ....No Biggie...I think ones perspective depends on where they live in the world......You are over there with Uncle Sam, and the big Bad DEA.....
While I am in Australia with the Conservative Nazi Drug Squad.....Mind you, They are reasonably well mannered as compared to the whole Swat Team Deal....

If you are in a rural area, I think it presents more opportunities as compared to the city/suburbs....And a little safer.

...hey...check this out...

It's a 12v DC water pump out of a camper trailer

picture.php

That's it hooked up to a simple manifold...

It works great in my kitchen. Going to do some tests this week to measure head flow. They are anti siphoning so the incoming hose is always primed...

I may have found an easy way to water several 100+ gallon containers this year... :chin:

Hey 5TH....Cool man.....keep us posted with the results.....
Are you going to run this in a circuit,.....using trickle irrigation in
your pots.....Say like an Auto set up,....on a 12 volt timer.

Yup, thats the plan.

2W solar trickle charger+car battery+timer+pump

All I'm missing is the timer...gonna see what I can find on amazon.

What I really need to do is calculate the draw it's going to take on the battery vs charging. But if the pumps only one for 5 minutes every 2 or 3 days...I don't see a problem.

I'll definitely be back with some results...snowed last night so I'm not feeling the playing with water outside today lol

Are you worried that police will stop you and smell weed..?
If that's the case, maybe you should put your buds in a sealed container like this

And if you drive with your harvest in the trunk roll down the windows little bit and have something quick to mask the odor... Something like little air freshener, and spray a little just before you get pulled over...

If you have a car it has a cigarette lighter/12v socket. You plug an inverter into that. Into the inverter you plug in a food saver sealer.

Now stick it your rubbermaid container n' go home.

for those who have done a few runs of guerrilla growing, what percent of your grows get taken, by insects, animals, thieves or the law? it just seems like a lot of work with a really good chance of no or low crop, and the risk of being seen and busted compared to indoor. i'm definitely a noob but the thread did invite novice questions too. thx in advance

I think there's something to be said for staking out your own little garden and then watching it - like a private investigator.

A picnic lunch, a blanket, maybe some wine, a camera.

To see what the traffic is. To see what your place looks like from other people's point of view.

And it's not unwise to place twigs and string (of the right color) to give you a heads-up if there has been traffic near your grow spot. Could be teen-agers partying, could be another grower, could be Ranger Bob.

Could be Bigfoot ? :peacock:

Hi Onavelzy.....That is a difficult question to answer....As most people are aware,...There are a lot of variables when guerrilla growing...As far as animals and insects are concerned,....protecting your plants comes down to preparation. Using cages around your plants.....Insecticide for caterpillars and other little critters....But,....If you have Wild Pigs or some other large animal intent on digging up your patch or munching on your plants....That's another story.....

As far as a percentage is concerned......Who knows....It depends on where you live....The population in general.. .and other factors. .The more people in your area,.....The more chance of your plants possibly being found.....Last Year,....I had 2 out of 3 patches compromised......1 spot by another grower, with no brains and a big mouth.....And bad intentions aswell.... And the other spot, which was my best to date......Not because of its location,...but due to the quality of the soil....The plants just seemed to thrive in that patch....Went to check the girls one day and saw that one of the crown colars had been broken off... I believe it was found by an old bloke who leased land adjacent to my patch......but he has known me since I was a kid....I think that's why he turned a blind eye.....So I was lucky to have a heads up on both situations......

In all the years I have been guerrilla growing, this was my first encounter with people finding my plants....

thx JV. i appreciate the insights. for me, i think i'll be bland and stay with an indoor try. i think i look at things to negatively but thats just how i am. good luck to you on your future grows. when a guerilla grow plant is successful, what is a typical yield for you?
r
has anyone done gorilla glue in a guerrilla grow? sorry, couldn't pass that one up

Good points though, it really does matter where you live and what the vibe is like around you concerning cannabis. Cheers man
