question to people with experience if i ran 3 600 w sealed lights in a 4'h x 8'w x 6.75'h with ballasts outside of the room what would you recommend for
1.) fan setups - sizes and cfm's
A.) pulling air through the lights and exhausting outside of the grow
B.) hooked up to the carbon scrubber exhausting out of the grow
2.) fans or passive intake area in square inches for the intake
to help keep the tent cool with room to spare preferably

i currently use a 8 '' 490 cfm fan on both the lights and the scrubber
and a 6'' 340 cfm fan for intake and am still having heat issues , i have the ability to use an infinite amount of passive air intakes as there are zippers all over the tent i have set up but would rather not do it that way ......any help ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

First and foremost, what will the highest and lowest your ambient temperature (temperature of the air your tent will pull it's fresh air intake from) be?

Secondly,do you plan to use just one fan to both cool the lights and ventilate the tent with or do you plan to use a fan solely to cool the lights and a second fan just to ventilate/scrub odors?

You shouldnt need more than than 1 fan for this setup...
I would check for leaks in your duct run.
Other than that I would suggest vegging with T8/T5. You shouldnt ever try running hps/mh during the day if its too warm.
What temps are you getting and where are you reading the temps at?
Move the probe so that its not just collecting radiant heat from the bulbs.
Whats your RH% in there?

i am not 100% sure what mt temp range will be i would guess 60-64 winter nights 65-70 winter days. summer nights, 60-70 , 75-80 summer days . i have great control of the air -temp control that goes into the tent as it comes form my apartment
i set it up initially as a test run with one of the larger 8'' 490 cfm fans pulling air thru the lights , and the other large pulling air through the scrubber . then was using the smaller 6'' 340 cfm fan to blow air into the tent . all the hot air went outside the room tent was in .
the average room temp ( the tent is in that room ) was about 69-71 , the average temp in the tent was 82-86 in the tents highest point (ceiling) out of direct light , the temp under the lamps was around in the mid - high 80's range . i had it set up where i thought my plants canopy should be.... around 20'' from the light . i also have to oscillating 16'' fans on high during this test. im shooting for 80 at most in the tent but also dont want to have to be freezing and or walking around with two pairs of socks all year round
thanks for the help
