The Clones

The Clones

Here's the line up for the final crop of the season. The 4 plants in the center row will stay the in veg room and flower under a 360 conversion bulb. The 6 plants in the larger pots on the outside rows will move to the flower room and sit around the 600. I'll try and pollinate a couple of the smaller girls in the veg room. I won't be selfing the pollen producer, rather trying to pollinate the other 2 phenos. I don't know if it's the best plan genetically, but it's plan nonetheless. Anyway, I'm a bit of a ways from having feminized pollen so this is all conjecture.

About 2 weeks till flip here......... :)

Most amazing thing about the WiFi is, that´s not only the most resinous plant in my garden, but it´s also the fastest flowering! Looks almost ripe in week 6. Probably won´t let her go much longer than 8 weeks.

Happy harvest, Smiley!

Start of week 9.
I think Ill pull #1 at 60. Thats right about when I saw the first ambers last round with this plant and started my flush.
Looks done already.
#2 looks like its gonna need 65-70 still. We'll see.
Not sure whats up with the bud leaf tips. They look like they got some tip burn?

AceHaze and primobud and Mr. gt - thanks for looking in fellows.

Coconutz - looking perfect dude...

silver hawaiian & Bmac1 - been tasting the recent harvest and ennjoying.

So I was hoping for 2 zips a plant and the average was 35g. The buds just didn't fatten up over the last couple of weeks. I've got some ideas and pics to share next post, for now it's rum & wifi...... cheers :)

Im going to chop in the next day or so and for about the last 10-14 days, I have been giving just water and some carbs and I noticed a definite bulge in that time. The WiFi all of a sudden had the grace of a new born giraffe, flopping all over the place under its own weight. It was a steady progression the first run with no carbs but I noticed a definite improvement with them this time. Dont know how, if any its affected the end product.

So, I was quite disappointed with the harvest results. Total crop was 238g (including 3 BCK). That's less than .5g/watt and much lower than my average over the past few years of 350g. That brings the total for this season to 463g and a long wayfrom my goal of 1000g+. I've got this one last crop to redeem myself and get the weed bins filled for the summer shut down. I explained to mrs smilley that the concern isn't about running out of bud anytime soon, but possibly running out in October or November prior to the first harvest in December. It is what it is, and all I can do is to try and dial in this final crop to salvage the season......

I've given a lot of thought to why the last crop was so small and I've identified a few possible reasons. Firstly, I think I was too light on the feeding. I may have overcorrected from the first crop and not given enough nutrients. Secondly, the lamp was on it's 4th crop, I've replaced it with a brand new hortilux for this final crop. Thirdly, I don't think I got enough veg into the plants. I had such an issue getting the clones to root that the plants didn't get as large as I would have wanted. This final crop rooted a bit quicker and I'm going to give it another week of veg before flipping the lights.

I've got 6 plants in 3 gal pots vegging around the 600hps and 3 smaller ones in the veg room in 2 gal pots. These'll veg for one more week and then it's time to flower the works.

Looks bomb!
Any OG in the taste?
I get a strong lemon taste, but not like most OGs Im used to.
I dont think Ive ever had Raskals SFV Fire cut though. I hear its more on the lemony side of the OG sprectrum.
When you said you noticed they swelled a bit more this time while feeding carbs, it might not mean that carbs made your buds swell, but perhaps you cut the nutes too soon and your plants still had some nutritional requirements.
Just something to also look at when trying to get dialed in. Im not saying thats the case, but its another possibility worth considering.
Looks like your plants turned out great. Some nice colas on those!

Day F 01

Day F 01

This is the final run. The veg room and flower room are sync'd to 12/12 and I've got the 360 conversion bulb burning in the veg room.

3 Different Phenos

3 Different Phenos

There's not much to pick and choose between the 3 phenos as far as taste, potency and bag appeal is concerned although one of the phenos produces noticeably denser buds than the others.

I haven't been very good this season predicting my yields nor have I been able to achieve any of my yield goals yet but here goes. I'm hoping to get 60g per plant in the flower room, they're in 3 gal pots and 3 are 24 inches tall while the other 3 are only 22 inches tall. The ones in the veg room I'm hoping to get an oz each from the the 3 large ones and I'm going to try and pollinate the runty one with ground up bananas from the plant I reversed. I should note that I never saw any pollen from the reversed plant so I'm not holding much hope for producing S1's this season.

Nice job man. I've been watching this thread for awhile and although i dont post much these days i had to ask, where did you purchase those beans? I had a clone of the white i ran a couple of times but stopped growing for awhile. Now that i am starting up again i'd like to give the wifi a go. Best looking strain i have been seeing here lately.

The 360W conversion bulb is working great. I'm hoping for 100g from this room.

This is the best my plants have looked this season. I've bumped the feeding up to 10ml PBP per gal and I'm supplimenting every second watering with a bloom booster. If things continue as I'm hoping, 50g per plant looks achievable. There was very little stretch this crop as illustrated by the tight nodal spacing. Not as much frost at this stage compared to the first 2 crops, bud looking much better none the less.

The last pic above is a close up of the ouside of the donut. Although not a lot of direct light penetrates this far back, the buds are still doing pretty good.
