I have been using the lucas formula with flora nova bloom for a long time. I never really measured my nutes ppm with this formula and has always worked fantastic. I just switched to maxibloom and did the recommended amount as per the formula 7grams per gallon, I measured the ppms and it does not seem right. Either my pen is messed up or not sure what's going on. What I wanted to know is for people using the maxi bloom what does your initial ppm reading usually come out to.
I use tap water that starts at 140ppm
I filled my reservoir with exactly 20 gallons of room temperature water
I then mixed 140 grams of maxi bloom in stirred till all was dissolved and no visible residue left
using this method above my nute came out to be 250ppm I am thinking my pen is messed up so I am going to calibrate it tonight to be sure.
