mini split placement

Hey guys where should I place the outdoor part of my mini split? Can they run outside when it's below zero?? Can I place it inside....but not in the grow room? What about the attic?

I'm also concerned about putting it outside an people wonder if why I'm running it in the spring fall an winter.... any helpfully info....I've been using a 24k but Windows unit ....

Many of the mini splits you see are also heat pumps that provide heat in the winter, they just run in reverse, so running year round shouldn't seem out of the ordinary.

To run in cold weather many require a hard or cold start kit and compressor heater.

To put it indoors you will need to provide 500-600 cfm of airflow over the condenser for every ton of capacity of your split. You could use the heat to keep your house warm.

fujitsu is rated for -5 but, most are rated for 5 to 20 degrees. They all list their min/max temp range.
Mini splits are becoming more and more popular with non growers for heat/ac so I do not think you
should worry too much about that. You could put them inside during the winter with a whole lot of ventilation.
