JAZ Rose Spray root application?

Hello,
i have some jaz rose spray next to me and wondering when to apply it. some say week 4 some say a bit later and when used to early you could end up with much smaller buds. so the best time to apply is when bud bulking stops, lets say week 7 (!?). but at this time i dont want to spray that mix on the buds, its too late imo. there is another product called jaz plant strengthener, and from the label it only contains mdhj and you can use it for foliar or root application. from the patent the rose spray contains mdhj,P,K,triton x-100 and rapeseed oil so there are surfactants in it and the bottle says dont use it for soil/roots. i cant get my handy on some strengthener so my question is: can i use the rose spray for root at one application 2 weeks before end? that would be perfect, maximum mass and maximum trichs. what happens when you put rapeseed oil and triton x-100 (surfactant) into your medium, in my case coco?
any thoughts?

I'm thinking it will be less effective than spraying, because the company hasn't had success with this approach (or they would have told us). I bought Jazz and used it twice, at week 6 and 7. The 6 were smaller, as you said. The 7 was about the same size, with WAY more trichomes. Twice as many. However there MAY have been a "rosy" taste in the oil I made from the trim. It was hard to tell, because the strain was very rosy, Purple Moonwreck.

Good luck with your experiment! Just try it on one or two control plants to compare results before you over commit. This is very powerful stuff that plants react to quickly.

thanks!
but i dont know if the triton x-100 and rapseed oil is good when you spray it that late and want to consume the product. i asked the guys from jaz and they told me that they dont recommend root application because its made for foliar use. they say i may could damage the roots, buts thats not a problem for me when i apply it 10 days before chop. i just wonder if the triton and oil can affect the taste or something. you say they react very fast, can you tell me a bit more? you say 6 were smaller but 7 was about the same size !? i dont understand that^^

Which Dilution?

Which Dilution?

What level of dilution was used to get those results?

The first postings we saw, quite a while ago, suggested using 25% of the recommended rose dosage for, sprayed to run-off just once. ( Perhaps just before lights out? )

Is that about it?

Thanks.

why not make a foliar with low ph, dosent low ph kill mold?
??
I am not worried about mold. Im worried about the extra stuff in it.(rapeseedoil&tritonx100)

Shaggy, what about you? When did you apply the spray? What can you say about Bud development?

Yes I applied a spray.
I have not had any real luck with it ....I used it full strength a few times..too much TRIA too..
I ended up with looked like wheat(calyx stacked on calyx like wheat)
It had the most trichomes I ever saw per square mm but the outcome was bad.
But dramatic yield decrease!!
You may have better luck with pure!!!
I did not like the common taste!!!

Now that's interesting!! I knew it somewhat but it still is very interesting.

I cant wait to see how Methyl Jasmonate effects my bud growth and trichome production.
But cant get Jaz Rose spray here in Australia.

Sorry off topic again! but......

Have you seen this article on terpenes???
http://www.medicaljane.com/2013/09/23/terpenes-may-improve-effectiveness-of-medical-marijuana/

I was thinking since Methyl Jasmonate increases the terpene limonene & decreases other terpenes, you could make an anti anxiety cannabis strain, I eat lemons if i get cannabis induced anxiety, just a thought.

I would have to reason that some plants and there terpene profiles may be effected negatively, & positively depending on how much of the effected terpenes are suppressed or exaggerated within the given strain.
So a plant with already heaps of limonene will be super lemony smelling if sprayed with Methyl Jasmonate and a plant that say, hypothetically has heaps of α-Pinene and no limonene, that plant will decrease it's α-Pinene and only moderately increase it's limonene leaving a plant smelling less smelly than it was potentially, or in the case of the hypothetical aforementioned super limonene plant that one will stink so bad of lemons you'll swear your in a lemon grove. just my 2 cents, once again it is a hypothetical mixed in with facts that I remember from random articles.
Hope this helps someone.

Peace.

I think you might be on to something there!!
I have noticed a certain terpene profile when using JAZZ.
So who else thinks you may increase lemon smell and flavor with Methyl Jasmonate

Peace.
:tiphat:
