Floranova, koolbloom=ph5.5 need to adjust? Coco

Running 20ml floranova bloom and 10 ml liq koolbloom (per 4.5gallons of RO water) gives me ppm around 950@.5 scale/ec 1.9. Think that's to high? Also ph is at 5.5 but I know floranova is ph buffered so do I need to add ph up? If so any brand ph up recommend over others? Thanks

Also I see guys recommending 7.5-8ml gal which has to put ec around 2.5-3.0...is that right? If 4.5ml per gallon is giving an ec of 1.7 for me?

Hi Smokeyla1!

Depending on the size and health of your plants...you are going to want to adjust your the amount of nutes you use.

It also is very strain dependent....so one strain may take everything you throw at it...while another will experience lockout or deficiency with a low ppm.

950 ppm is not that high....I feed my clones that in coco from the start...and they have no problems. PH seems fine...you could go even higher like 5.9 if you wanted to...coco is pretty forgiving in that regard.

Where I run in to problems is when you don't water with runoff...and they can get wicked mag lockout...they will turn flourescent if you dont flush the coco out...or let it dry out.

Coco is great handwatering....it is even better in hydroponics....ebb and flood...or drip systems DTW are just awesome....you can really notice the difference in growth rates....just something to think about.

And BTW...I use Floranova in coco....and it works really well...GH makes good nutes.

If your plants can handle 8ml's per gallon...than go for it. I personally never go above 7...Just seems overkill to me. I don't like getting past 1500ppm in flower. But then again...I am not running co2 or anything like that...perhaps sometime down the road.

Hey smokey......yes...every feeding. I was hand watering...or if I am on a table.....every feeding...

I would start tapering toward the end of your flowering cycle though.

As plants feed the EC drops (showing the plant is eating) and pH rises (allowing all macro and micro's to be taken up).

IMO keep pH between 5.5 and 5.8/6.0
