Hey, this is my first time growing other than a autoflower I grew like a houseplant.
This journal is basically just to help me keep track of things and hopefully get answers on questions regarding my grow under ways.

They were planted on the 16 or 17th of february. I am using the canna line of nutrients along with the canna coco professional +. Hempy buckets + one smart pot.

25th feb.

This is the progress made in 4 days, do they seem to be growing at correct speed? They are soon 10 days old.

If you guys see the first plant on the last picture, does anyone know what the downward tips on the leaves could be a sign of? I did knock that plant over once wich might be the reason, but I dont know.

Thanks for stepping by guys. Here is an update. 9 or 10 days old now.

One of the biggest Mazari's

Update: My EC/ppm meter has finally arrived so now I can start feeding the plants as needed instead of feeding them at half or less strength, cant wait to water them :D Hopefully my pH meter will be here tomorrow so I can get a more accurate pH reading than with my drops..
I also did a really stupid mistake today, I re-potted them into 1l pots made from big coke bottles, I only thought about it afterwards but.. I think im gonna have a hell of a job replanting them because of the stupid bottle shape wich I ignored. Pics later today

Update day 11 or 12:

Two of the biggest Mazari's. They seem to be growing quick now.

This is a twin plant, I got two plants from one seed but this one seems to have something strange going on with it, definately looking forward to whatever bud it produces though but I doubt its gonna be much considering how slow it grows. It almost has round leaves!

Hey guys, I transplanted most of the plants into 5l hempy buckets today.

I cant tell a difference worse/better on the plant that has had a bit of yellowing on the lowest fan leave tips and clawing of upper leaves, hoping it gets healtier now.. It is the one in smart pot.. I transplanted it yesterday before I had these 5l buckets..

Day 15 or 16 now.

Lookin good there doc!

Have you begun to introduce any nutrients yet? sounds like it might be a minor N def.

I'm doin my first indoor setup as well but in soil, i'll be following to see how you like the coco...

Good luck with the grow buddy!

Thanks for stopping by! :tiphat:

I feed them 2ml canna coco a+b per 1l water, including cannazym and rhizotonic, but if it looks like it might have any defs I will try feeding them with the heavy dose schedule instead of the normal one.

Coco seems to be a great medium, I can hardly compare it to the little project I had in soil but im loving the coco so far. I wish you good luck with your grow also, I will check it out. :dance013:

Update: Placed bid on a 300w led and I bought some pk 13/14, silica liquid, and canna boost, so I think it's safe to say im gonna get a little boost in a while.

I would be grateful if someone could diagnose my babies, I hate seeing them like this.

Day 18/19

Most of the plants look a lot better than this, but thanks to an iphone camera and the hps lamp the pictures get a little bad.

Edit: Picture of a Black Cream with 3 side branches per node! None of my other plants have this. How does this affect yield? I Wish I had a male autoflower at the moment so I could make seeds from her.. Hopefully the bagseed is a male.

One of the mazari's have started to show pre-flowers also. Kinda early when they're only around 20 days old. Is it okay to keep vegging them for another month or longer after pre-flowers?

Its pretty hard to see on the picture, but still possible!

doc, contemplating beginning a grow. as i read these journals, there never seems to be much on why the grower chose the strains they did. if you don't mind, can you say how you came to choose these two for your grow?

This is a good question!

I was a bit rushed when choosing seeds because someone else was going to order them for me for safety reasons.
However, I have mostly smoked hashish in my years of smoking, so I've always been fascinated with land races, Mazari being a cross between a indica land race and skunk #1 is a good choice for me hopefully, theres a lack of information about it online, but I think it might be the same as Mazar from dutch passion wich is a bit more ''famous''.

Now the black cream was a lot because of appearance, it looks purely amazing. I would however have changed it to something not auto if I had the chance now.
Anyways, I dont have a vegging room, so growing both an autoflower and a normal plant will give me two harvest with 8-10 week between them. Hopefully I can sort out a veg room when the black cream is done so I can take some clones from the Mazari so I can keep harvesting on a regular basis.

With all that being said, I will choose more carefully next time even though I am far from unhappy with my choices, but I could maybe have a few more strains.

Im not gonna make any hash, but its nice to have the genetics used to make some of the hash I've been smoking through out the years. Thanks for wishing me luck, I hope you get to enjoy your first grow as much as I'm doing. :dance013:

How do you transplant from hempy buckets to bigger ones? Im guessing the perlite is gonna be a challenge? If its full of roots, do you add a new layer of perlite to the new hempy bucket or or do you put the plant in the bottom and and coco on top? I know the last one sounds stupid, im just giving examples, but if someone knows.. please tell me how.

Day 24 or 25. The smaller plants are 14 days +

Some of the plants was transplanted to 10L Hempy buckets yesterday.

U17AOBk.jpg

Got a 300w led shining on the smallest ones just besides the hps. Theres around 30-50cm distance from the plants. It will most likely be lowered later today or tomorrow.

HxJdDC0.jpg

One of the plants that is in smart pots then in a bucket, thinking about adding perlite to the bucket but also considering putting it in a hempy bucket because I've come to like hempys better.
CDbZV4Q.jpg

The smart pot-bucket's keeping the roots alive. I think its actually getting nutrients from the condense.

Doing a little update with pictures later today, got some cool lenses and stuff for my phone for like 10$ so hopefully they do for a little better pictures.
The plants are almost starting to outgrow the tent in its width, they better start growing a bit more in height soon, the tent would almost be better laying on on one of the sides if this trend continues for much longer.

Btw, does anyone know a good schedule for autoflowers in coco using canna nutrients?
