Cool so its about the same for a fine meal, I just like to know these things. I have an economics/food background so It interests me how food prices compare across the world. I gotta find those pics from south America they were fancy plates haha. I would be all over those steak and noodles too herman. the noodles remind me of what the moms used to make. take it easy

Some pics from Budapest, Hungary.
If you want delicious food for not too much money this is the place. Kroatia did very well by us too. Very good ingredients, pure flavours.
Probably everything around the mediterrean sea is good cuisine for low prices. Had some shit experiences in Morroco though and Italy, Portugal and Spain can also be tourist ripoffs.

This was one of the higher end restaurants. In a big park with the terrace over water. Lots of decently schooled and friendly waiters that did exactly what they had to do at the right times. Really love such restaurant experiences where they serve you at every wink without ever being too present or disrupting. We had no reservation and the place was packed yet they managed to get us in between reservations anyway.
Had a starter - we all had a beef carpaccio with an eggplant twist - and main dish with half a bottle wine each and bought two bottles to drink in the park with some hungarian 'erbs. IIRC we averaged €25-30 per person!

Thanks for sharing sprinkl!

That deer with almond dough balls and strawberries is a very beautiful dish!

I had some stuff in the fridge, didn't really feel like cooking but I had my brother to feed. It was very cold yesterday(28F,-2C) for me so I decided to make a soup and turned it into a sort of ramen with italian ingredients. :)

sprinkl those plates look proper! venison is always a favorite of mine, and when I order duck breast, I want that breast seared, as you have pictured above! last I had duck breasts the restaurant put a sissy sear on it and the layer of fat underneath didn't get rendered out all the way. edible nonetheless, but not justice done to the duck. know you're in a classy joint when your water glass never empty and they put those fancy covers of the lemon. eat well my friends
