Autoflower after clone?

Hey IC,

Ive got a strange issue Ive never encountered before. We are growing god bud from seed, non-feminised. Already discarded the males, and kept a few fems, cloned from each fem and the clones kind of look like they tried or are still trying to flower despite being under 24hr light. Im confused because they were cut before their moms were in flower. They have rooted already as well and are in need of a transplant.

They are fairly hurting looking as they were put into really bad soil that we thought would be ok to reuse.

Im just curious if anyone else has an experience similar and whether or not this will be an issue for future turn arounds.

They have the long white hairs that look like a preflower. I guess I was more curious as to whether or not some plants under the stress of cloning will try and flower themselves. I know plants under stress will sometimes try to hermaprodite themselves. Curious if these issues were somehow related.

Did you happen to change the lighting? Like from HPS to fluorescent?

Were the mothers in 12/12 at all before cuts were taken?

I had this happen to a C99 cut. I put it into flowering so I dont know that it would have continued to truly flower. I remember reading that change in lighting can trigger an auto flower type response in some strains.

The cuttings weren't taken from flowering mothers. They were taken from 600w-hps to 250w-mh. I wonder if that triggered autoflower in them. I'll give it another week and if the flowers continue to pop up on the new growth I'll chuck them and start fresh. Would be a damn shame if that happened, but hey ya learn something new everyday!

they sometimes present preflowers at a certain age...what percentage of them are showing pistils??..was the 24/0 ever interrupted by maybe a power outage?...i think maybe temps play a role in that too..not sure though....good luck..dj

If the light hours never changed the plant is showing preflowers.a photoperiod plant cannot will not flower under veg light.nor will a photo turn into an autoflower.

u said in need of a transplant.. theres ur issue right there man.. transplant them.. some plants start to run out of root space and auto flower.. and the few strains I have seen this in . actually have thrown hermis if I tossed directly into flower before they reverted to veg..

but that's my experience.. also have had weird growth happen too.. but gotta keep up on transplanting.. kuz this can happen.

i think Bred is correctumundo....makes perfect sense to me now... after having a mom that started throwing pistels and funny leaves like a reveg...always had me puzzled....thanks bred...dj
