I'm only planning growing one plant and letting it veg massive before switching. Heavy LST, maybe even scrog if I'm not feeling as sleepy and sluggish as I always do. Soil, Advanced Nutrients ph-perfect (I do have NFT but can't use it for this project). Mostly this is about photography to me, as I don't really smoke weed anymore. I just enjoy watching it grow and the dailypattern involving the growing. Latter got me started jogging and lifting weights, which I would've never even thought of doing being the pensioner slacker I am. Anyways,

What sort of lighting and medium are you going to be using?

Like stated, I will be using the good old soil for this one. During the veg I will use various CFL sources, I have 75w bulbs, T8&T5 tubes and one 38w gr10q. I also have few of those "10w grow leds" that look like floodlights from the ebay, though they feel more like decorational lights rather than growlights . . still, should be plenty for couple of months and I will add them as I go. For the flowering I have 250w digital HPS or 400w magnetic HPS, depending on the size of the plant I end up with. I used to have 2x120w led setup and tent, but lost them for no reason at all. The leds, however, were never able to really pull their weight imo. They did produce very thick and tight nugs, but they were mostly smaller than my testies. With 250w HPS I've never got less than 100 grams, whereas with leds it was half that during the two grows I had them, which to me was very disappointing. So didn't mind losing them in the end, especially as the noise was plain mindblowing.

Guess they do punch out few more lumens than expected. Usually I use the 11w for the seedlings, they're easy to setup and the height adjustment makes things even easier. No doubt I will use one this grow too.

Sad face. Doesn’t look good, does it now. Had to rip the helmet (shell) off her head. A lot of feminized seeds have started this way, dunno. Maybe it’s natures way of telling us not to fuck with it or her children will come out deformed like retar . . mentally-challenged people do. Hope she makes it, but if she doesn’t I’ll just pop another one the more traditional way, ie. between the paper towel in a zip.

Fear not! Don't give up on the runts til the bucket is kicked and the bed shat! I'm not the only one that will tell you that sometimes the runts will turn into favorites. I have a Hemlock (Durban Poison x LA Confidential) seed that did that same thing. I had to pull the shell off and even still it ALMOST didn't make it. I'm talking tweezer surgery to get it going. Have patience and let it do its thing, you might be surprised. Good luck

Overnight she turned her head towards the light, so all hope is not lost yet. Think I even saw some green in there

So don't worry, I'll let her do her thing. I'm a keen de-foliager and I've seen plants come back after losing ~50% of their leafs in less than a week bushier than they were before. This is the worst kind of damage though, as she's way too small to really take a hit. But we shall see, yesterday I gave her 40% if she turns her head towards the light and today I'm giving her 55%

Haven't done macroshots for a while and with this body, @1/60 there's quite a bit shake but had to see if there's any life there. Lo and behold, these are the leafs. And at the background there's a toothpick for size reference

runts do turn into keepers..

what people don't understand.. is that u could end up with a runt because of sooo many variables.. so they could be strong genetics.. just had an issue germing.. I have a cross that I made.. that I have to crack the beans before I germ them.. or else they do this.. they try sooo hard to get out of the thick shell.. and end up fucking themselves up.. causing them to stunt.. and repair themselves.. so don't toss out runts until u have flowered them out.. I don't toss them until I flower out a clone of the runt.. to see if its really a slow grower.. or if the seed was stunted because of other issues..

right now.. I am growing a GHS Pure Kush.. I got a pack back wen they first put out "Pure Kush"

but I just recently popped a few to see if theres anything in this pack of beans...

its just finishing the stretch. in a 1000w vert run.. will post some pics soon.. ill take a veg shot to so u can see how it looks..

its deff a quick rooter cloning wise.

I've done this strain before, the stretch was minimal and the phenotype was leaning heavily to pure landrace indicas which I usually grow. That's why I'm back at it, I really loved growing the previous one. Here's one early flowering, with the leds I had to keep them down to maximize yield:

Had the tripod setup today, still need to setup the camera and get another tripod for the flash. I know. Some people grow weed to smoke it, I grow weed to shoot it. Weird. Anyways, I had aperture set too low, so diffraction. And I do wish Nex could sync to higher than 1/160. This was shot at 1/60 and it's not horrible, but there's always that "what if" in my mind
