Question, Tent Ventilation

If I have a tent is it okay if I exhaust the heat from the HPS light's ventilation into the room that i'm growing?

won't it make the room warm and instead I need to ventilate the heat into the rest of the house/apartment?

are you currently heating the room you want to vent into?
close the registers and use the lights to heat with.

I have a 4x4 and just vent out and recycle air. Being in the garage weather plays a huge part in how I can maximize the area. Using more lights to heat when it's cool outside and run an a/c out side the tent in times of need but efficient that it is not.

While it is okay to vent exhaust from your light back into your room it is far from ideal.

Ideally, you would want that air being exhausted to an area away from your intake/outside of your tent. This will allow for an exchange of air, cooler air, cooler temperature within the tent, etc.

Are you running two exhausts? One for lights and one for the tent? If not, you should really look into it if able.

Peace and love!

you want to have an air exchange... it won't cool the light if you don't have a difference in the air. it'll just be blowing hot air around the room.

depends on what you want if that's a possible solution for you.

from the sound of it, you want to vent into the house? if yes, then you may want to close certain vents to warm sections of the house, or to vent the air outside.
also keep in mind that you want air exchange, so where you gonna get cool air from for the plants?

The temps would be about 78-80. The tent would have a intake and outtake

If that's the temperature of the intake air (room the tent pulls it's air from) then you need to exhaust into the attic, out a window,or into another room or else you'll be raising the temp of the room the tent pulls it's air from thus heating the tent up.

Ideal canopy temps are between 75°F and 78°F

I use a 400w HPS and a 4" 170cfm inline exhaust fan and exhaust into my attic. With said fan and wattage I have canopy temps about 10°F above ambient...so if rooms temp is 65°F I have a lights on temp in the tent of 75°F.
