Autoflower light schedule

Hey everyone ive been a long time lurker and have a question i cant seem find a straight forward answer for.

Would growing autoflowers under 24 hours of light and irregular dark periods like 4-6 hours every 48-72 hours just to give the lights a break have any negative effects on a plant?

-Thanks allot

I can only tell you what I do, 20\4 and they are happy with that schedule, that gives the lights a 4 hour break, I run 20\4 as I veg other plants with the auto's, everything appears to like that schedule.

I have read that the more light you give the auto's the happier they are, I have never tried anything other than 20\4.

I grow under t5's in coco using David's Grow Simply Path plus Cal\Mag and Root Roids every watering they are feed.

I do the same as sssmdg. 20/4. They do like it the best as I have tried many different lighting schedules. 12/12, 24/0, 11/13, even 18/6. I find that 20/4 works the best for me. During this time I also came to the conclusion that auto's are best suited for growing outdoors. Don't get me wrong they can be successfully grown inside. I just believe that they express their fullest potential outdoors. Oddly enough where I live the lighting outside never comes close to the schedule I follow inside and I always get the best results outdoors.

Your light regimen of 20/4 is great. Keep it consistent. Outdoors, you don't need the same hours of light, of course.

No light system can compare to the light spectrum and intensity of el sol, thus autos really perform well in late spring through early fall, the best in summer. By starting plants every 20 days, you have a continual crop!!

Anything that stresses a plant will result in poor YIELDS (eyelids) convention is 18/6 or 20/4

eyelids ...is that Google translate? I know what eyelids are

I have seen some trials that recommended after testing 24/0 until budding then reducing to 18/6 so you get the height you need.

I personally run a compromise of this where I run 20/4 for 5 weeks then 18/6

Yeah id suggest 24/0 for the first 5 then take them outdoors to harden off and flower for the most bud for your dollar, about your question tho no light leaks and bouncing the cy les around have not been shown to produce any effects in the autos ive run so i think youll be fine

man - you telling me i can flower my Autos with NO lights? or just a fluorescent?
You about to make me order a host of these.

but hey, common sense tells me that there is NO WAY i can expect a yield of above 300 grams from a plant.. am doing 10 Autos currently.. about day 4
