Mites??

Just noticed some white spots on the girls tonights. I immediately went to Walmart and got a 4x magnifying glass to check to see if I could see those little fuckers. I didn't see any, but I'm guessing that doesn't mean they are not there? Does anyone know what those white dots on the picture are?

Looks like more of a pH problem instead of a mite problem. Maybe a little of over watering as well. Those leaves are too close to your soil anyway and should be pruned.

Well that's kinda a relief. I just tested my runoff and it's at 7.2 which doesn't make sense since I just watered them with 7.0 water and my soil is acidic. I just got a ph pen so the first three days I was giving them 7.7 water, but recently I've been using pH down to get the water to 7.0. If I'm using 7.0 water and my soil is around 6.5 how is it going up to 7.2 when I measure it? Do I need to let the water after adding the pH down? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for the help.

I can't speak for your soil or nutrients but water/nutrients don't come out at the same pH as it went in. You have to adjust accordingly. I would use a trusted brand which will most likely give you less problems.

Dude how much for the kitten!! I want it :) Anyways, I'm using a blue lab ph handheld pen and FFOF and happy frog with about 20-30% perlite. So quality soil and ph meter shouldn't be a problem. and did i say how cute those kitties are lol

I'm using Fox Farm Ocean Forest and have been using it since 1998 or 1999. I'm sorry to say that Fox Farm has gone down hill the last year and their soil has had loads of problems. I usually have to flush out my entire soil with full feed nutrients at the rate of 3x the container size. It is what it is. Also you have to add a nutrient program to Fox Farm Soil because there's only enough nutrients in the soil for a couple of weeks depending on container size. Those kittens are old now. The Mom is a Bengal and the Dad is a Siamese. The Bengal was $3,000.

Damn dude ballin on that cat. Anyways, I think I'm going to get an RO filter and start using RO'd water because when I lower the tap water pH it just raises back up within a few hours due to buffers in the tap I think.

LOL snype's cats get all the attention.

You should start breeding those bad boys and put em on the bay. I'd definintly pick one up.

Maybe toss one of my old phenos outside to make room, LOL
