Shiva's Sneaky Grow Lab of Goodness

Whew, glad the pics worked....it took forever to add them all, I would have been crushed if I had to redo all of that!

Thanks man, this is the most aggressive training that I've done to date, I like my bushy bitches! :)

P.S. I'd love to hear from anyone with experience with any of the strains that I'm running as this is my first experience with any of them. Any comments or experiences with any of them would be greatly appreciated! :)

Quick update:

Gave all 4 plants a feeding last night with the GH Flora Series along with KoolBloom. Right now, the plants are drinking a ton and I'm having to water the 5 gallon smart pots every 3 1/2 - 4 days.

It's looking like the Afghani Kush and the Fruity Chronic Juice will be the earliest plants, I'm estimating 8.5-9 weeks for both of them. As such, this will probably be their second-last feeding before their 2-week flush. The next watering will be straight water, followed by a final feeding employing the dry KoolBloom powder.

The Kandy Kush and Jack 47 look to be 10+ week strains, so they will get 2-3 more feedings before flushing.

It's freezing here, and the temps have been cool at night, dipping down to 62-63 in my room with the lights off......it's starting to bring out some nice colors in some of the buds, hopefully that continues.

It's looking like I'm going to have to invest in some yo-yos, as it looks like the Kandy Kush branches are going to start flopping very soon as the buds bulk up, I can't believe the size and density of the buds forming on some of these skinny-ass branches! The other plants all have very study branches and shouldn't need any support uness the buds get extra massive, in which case I won't complain and will happily buy some more yo-yos! ;)

I'll try and post picture updates every few days up until harvest....buds are still growing like crazy and just starting to swell and fill out, so should have plenty of bud-porn for all you stoners :)

Thanks SG! I recognize your fine work from some of the other forums......I don't have nearly the experience or expertise that you've got going on, but I'm doing my best to keep up ;)

Hey guys!

Sorry for the absence, I've just been too damn busy to be keeping up with my journals. It's been a while, and today is a big day, so I figured I'd drop an update for those still following along. Today is day 60 of flower and harvest day for the first of my 4 plants! My Fruity Chronic Juice was a very quick finisher and could have been chopped a week ago, but I let it go a little longer as I like to allow for a full 2 week flush and I like my plants fully ripe and as tasty as possible.

The lights don't come on for a few hours yet, but when they do, I'll take lots of pics of all of my plants as well as lots of FCJ harvest shots. For now, here are some notes on each of my strains:

Fruity Chronic Juice

Shortest, most indica-dom plant in my garden by far. Most phenos I have seen online produced a much lankier hybrid-type plant, but not this one. Extremely fast flowering, first plant I've grown that could have been picked in 7.5 weeks. Dark green leaves that got even darker with cool night time temps. Plant was topped/fimmed/super-cropped and LST'd multiple times to produce 16 main tops with a few secondary colas. Colas and buds are relatively small and have a fat sphere-shape to them, but are EXTREMELY dense......they remind me of some NL that I grew out in the past. When you wiggle a branch, it feels like it has more weight to it than buds twice the size on other plants in my garden. Amazingly, even the few small popcorn buds that I left lower down grow into dense little nugs despite being almost completely shaded by the fat leaves and dense canopy this plant formed. Insane frostiness/trich development. The trichomes don't push out onto and of the bigger fan or water leaves, but the calyxes and bud-leaves themselves are completely covered. Trimming is gonna be a piece of cake with this one, as I'll just be pulling of all the green stuff and leaving almost all the bud leaves intact.....they are so sticky and caked onto the buds that I couldn't get them off if I wanted to without destroying the buds. For 99% of the flowering, this plant kind of bored me as it didn't seem to have anything original or new to offer. Until recently, the smell of my FCJ was extremely mild with just a hint of a floral smell to it. However, a couple of days ago, I started to pluck all the fan and water leaves in preparation for harvest day today....when I was done, I smelled my hands and my mouth started to water. There was still a hint of a mild floral sweetness, but now there was a very distinct pink-bubblegum smell present as well. Now I can't wait to see how these buds do after a nice slow dry and a couple of months curing in jars. I'm a terrible judge of weight, but I'm hoping to get 3 ounces off this plant.

Kandy Kush

This plant will be the second to come down, likely on day 63-65 or so. What I expected to be my lowest yielder due to the OG heritage, looks to be one of my biggest yielders. This plant has 18 long tops that have filled in nicely and are now flopping over. Hugest calyxes that I have ever seen on a plant....you could pack a bowl with 3 or 4 of them! Very frosty and chunky nugs with a few foxtails that started this last week. Leaves and some of the calyx's have taken on a mild purple hue with the cold temps at night. I've never grown an OG Kush plant or cross before, so I'm not really sure how one should smell, but this OG Kush x Trainwreck cross smells like sweet earthy coffee. Again, I'm a terrible judge of yield, and I've never grown plants this big before, but I'm hoping to approach 4 ounces with this plant.

Afghani Kush

Looks to be my biggest yielder, still lots of long white pistils and still throwing out a few foxtails, going to let this plant go 70ish days and get nice and ripe. Bud leaves have turned pink with the cooler temps at night, and buds have some of the earthy smell that the KK has, but also has a sweet orangey/lemony tang when you touch a bud or break off a leaf. Huge, long stacked colas or medium density. Expected buds to fill out a bit more for a pure indica, but this plant has always grown like more of a hybrid so I'm not surprised. As such, it'll take a full 10 weeks to flower. Also hoping to push the 4 ounce mark with this plant.

Jack 47

Probably the most unique plant I've grown. Looks like a sativa with it's branchiness, slender leaves and huge buds, but stands only 2 feet tall. Colas are as fat or fatter than coke cans and very dense for a sativa. The smell is what is just blowing me away, as it reeks of pure pepper.....it's like nothing I've ever experienced before. I'm assuming that comes from the Haze in the Jack Here parent, and can't wait to see how this baby tastes. Huge fat colas but not as many of them, hoping to get around 3 ounces from this plant.

Will update soon with lots of pics!
