are the triclamps not using the finger screws anymore?

I get more reliable seals on the larger triclamp connections using the high pressure clamps.

I still use hinged clamps on some of the 1 1/2" triclamp connections, and one 2" that gets used a lot.

What psi are you guys seeing your terp hit during a flood?

Depends on how hot your recovery pot is and various screw ups, but cold around 10/15 psi.

I've seen 45 psi with a 200F recovery pot and a column dump.

I've seen 80 psi when flooding and having the storage tank roll over on its side in the ice bath, exposing the dip tube to full tank pressure. The tank was pulled over by the weight of a MT-69 hanging on a short hose from it.

For those who use the pour method, what -vac do you stop at and how much solvent is generally left at the bottom of the pot?
I haven't tried it yet but if I can stop at -15 and there is not much left but I can still pour that would be useful.

at cold temps doing pour method you have to just watch the ice line on the pot to know where the butane is because the gauge isn't reading right.

Thanks for the details about the flush I've ordered the parts from paramount to make that modification. It all makes much more sense now. All else looks good to you guys though?

Mostly gone by -10" Hg and as noted, if you are running cold, the vacuum gauge tells little, so the ice level on the outside of the tank is currently the most reliable measure.

I'm not running cold yet. I put the terp quickly into reasonably warm water and pull it out till things come down to -22.
After the dump I find that the vac barely moves unless I do this, it might take me forever to get down to -10.

I'm having trouble finding the bulkhead fitting to make the clear lid on paramount.

I think the other parts needed are

3406105 1/4 X CLOSE 304 SS NIPPLE
and
3407713 1/4" 150# 304 SS THRD TEE

Could anyone point me towards the bulkhead fitting please?

I just put a sight glass on the top of my mkiiia. Is there any difference in the flood procedure with the sight glass?

Call and ask. They are who I buy mine through.

Does any know know how thick a piece of polycarbonate would be needed to make a vacuum chamber lid for a 8" x 12" pyrex pan? It's hard to find sheets over 1/2", would that be too thin?

To achieve light colored extracts must one use a little heat during recovery to speed up the process so that the oil is removed from the butane in a reasonable amount of time?

Does the temperature of the incoming butane need to be below its boiling point? Should my material match the temperature of the incoming butane?

HD as far as I've read heat darkens the extract. Heat is used to speed up recovery. I use heat and somehow sometimes my extract is very yellow.
Most people cool the tank in some way, ice, dry ice or some salt bath.
Most people also freeze the tubes.

YB go for as thick as you can get. Some chamber makers say heat will stress the lid and cause it to crack over time and say to add cold to the lid. I imagine a really thick lid would help against that.
